Nill is a very good GM. Hes got a plan to make his club better. If that means trading Robertson, he will do it.

Not necessarily. They could be changing Robertson for defense help at same salary.

Dallas is overloaded on the left side with Heiskanen (can play the right), Harley, Lindell and Bischell and needs right shot D desperately, so it won't be Gavrikov, a lefty.

I’ve always wondered how these relationships work between media types and team staff. It seems there are a few media guys who are straight up mouth pieces for the whole NHL. But for the other guys who rumor monger? Who gives them the info? Is the team okay with it or is it planned? It’s like a whole underworld lol

My guess is a lot of their sources are agents.

I am sure Dallas doesn't "want" to trade Robertson. But they have little cap space and only 16 players signed. Something has to give. Dallas might be needing futures or entry level contracts. They are getting pretty thing on Defense as well. That is going to cost. Robertson at this point looks like the luxury.

It would be nice if Tippett is involved for Robertson, but I can’t see them taking him back. Though it might make sense(if they need some offensive production back)

Dobson might be a tough sell depending on what his contract looks like going forward. Most likely less than Robertson long term but for next season Dobson could be making a decent chunk more than Robertson’s $7.75M and for a team looking at a cap crunch, could prove difficult. Maybe the Isles take back Dumba in any potential trade?

Why would Van do that? Hronek is a top pair, right shot D, who is signed at a great cap hit through his entire 7 year prime. Robertson is good, but he’s a slow footed, non play driving wing, who is one year from an overpay contract.

Think the only move that makes sense for Dallas is if they get a legit 1C out of it. Hintz is good but he's closer to a borderline 1C like Hertl was for SJ or Barzal or Larkin.
