he was great for us in the playoffs, he’s on pace for another great season, and way worse players got first rounders, so he’s gonna get something good

All I want to do right now is help our team and be part of the solution, getting our team back on track,” Boeser said Friday. “I mean, really play some good hockey with these guys, and then let (management) make a decision on me. I don't want to have it be like this.

“These are some of my best buddies, and I know we can win hockey games. I really believe we can right this ship and start winning hockey games, and I really want to do that and help get our team going again. And then when the time comes, they can make their decision.”

“Any team that's not doing well, there's going to be changes,” Boeser said. “I haven't played to my best this year, and I expect better for myself and, you know, I'm a UFA at the end of the year. So they could look at me and be like, 'He's the easy guy (to trade) right now.'

Because they aren't morons?
I realize Kaprizov is a game changer, and the Wild want to keep Him, but what does He want? 12 or 13 million. Does he want to stay? They would get allot of current and future assets if the moved him at the deadline. And, they would have room for Brock or someone like Him. Anyways, I understand Brocks agent would like to get Him back in Minnesota. He was talking to the wild about it a year ago.

I don't think the return will be great, kinda between what Toffoli and Guentzel went for. I'm thinking a team like the Jets would be interested.
But I can see Tocchet all over a guy like Stanley with his size and able to make a defense up of Myers, Stanley, Desharnais being what he wants even though it's a terrible idea.
So Boeser + Forbort for Stanley, Chibrikov + 3rd is my guess.

Boeser really just isn't very good. Too slow and too often behind the play to be a consistent contributor on offense, basically a deluxe Tyler Toffoli. Could definitely still be useful as a top 9 player but I wouldn't think about going much above a 5x5 kind of contract for him.

This is not a core player. I don't think he ever was.

...if the 'Nucks do this and ice a D with Myers, Stanley, and Desharnais in it, they should, BY LAW, have to have the Benny Hill theme playing constantly during games... 🤣

Please explain the difference between a superstar player on a team winning team and a player who wants out and then a third player who is on the other loser team who is sick of losing. The Canucks gave Pettersson an enormous contract and the team is ass water. Before Kaprizov got hurt the wild were top 2 in the conference. I wouldn't trade Kaprizov for anything short of McDavid, MacKinnon or Matthews. You've lost it
