A loss sucks, getting a point is nice, but who would’ve thought this team would be 19-4-1 after basically 1/3 of the season? Not me! Great showing by the guys so far.

Getting points in 20 of our 24 games so far. At least a point in close to 85% of our games 1/3 in the season. Nobody saw that coming.

Thank God you shifted @Bleedred 's ire somewhere else.

Softy of the year? 5 years?
Softy of the year so far I think.

There was another center ice goal and I can’t remember who it was scored on anymore, but I remember Claude Giroux was the goal scorer.

It was against Vegas and Thompson. Had to go through his game log.

Reminder that the Colorado Avalanche had a few losing streaks and lost 6 of their last 7 games of the season last year. Even good teams lose. It happens, the important thing is when you lose, you give a good effort and you learn. I haven’t seen anything that shows me this team can’t do that.

As frustrating and disappointing as that was to see live, you realize that they were just an innocent bounce or save from getting the second point in regulation. The Preds couldn’t even get Saros out until less than 30 seconds to go.

It’s a tough break but that’s hockey. Doesn’t always go your way. If I’m going to heartbreakingly give another team a second point, I’m able to accept it being a Western conference team.

Was very happy with Bahl and Holtz tonight, even besides the goals.

This type of loss also feels like one the boys could rally around. It could’ve been worse, they could’ve had 0 points, they could’ve not come back in it, but I feel like a little adversity mixed in there isn’t a bad thing. Keeps you on your toes.

Lindy also needs to make better decisions, especially in OT.

The decision to start Hischier and Sharangovich is to win possession on the face off off and hold possession. If they don’t score then you have Hughes and Bratt out against what is likely a tired bunch (if you hold the puck). Sharangovich turned the puck over the offensive zone and then couldn’t win it back in the defensive zone.

That is the thought process. You absolutely stat Nico as you need someone good a faceoffs. You can’t start with Jack. Now maybe Bratt should have started on the wing. My guess is Shara has had a hot stick of late and they wanted a shooter with Nico.

Some adversity should be good for them. Keeps them honest around all the winning. Should help keep them sharp down the stretch.

Honestly how they came back to secure the point is still impressive and the important part to me. The sloppiness at the end isn't ideal but it's not something I expect to happen often.

The way this team lost is honestly pathetic. From coughing up the lead with 9 seconds left thanks to sheer stupidity form everyone on the ice and the conservative pile of shit PP they ran, to losing 30 second in ot because of stupid turnovers from yeezy and Nico, a stupid decision by vitek, and dougie being Doug shit

Hynes just refuses to lose to us. They'll lay an egg tomorrow against NYb, no doubt. He'll let them all take the night off and even go to the strip club tonight and come to the rink hungover for tomorrow night's tilt.

Next game will be even harder, as Torts also just refuses to lose to us. Just as opening night would have it.
we might have to hire an exorcist to get DD out of @Bleedred. :dunno:

Although we blew this game I'm not too mad. WE need to start playing better in the 1st period , its been a bit of an issue latley. This team was really impressive in the 2nd and most of the 3rd. That 3 goal clip we had shows how impressive we can be on offense. It was freat to see Holtz get his 1st real NHL unlike the Hart softy fromnthenseason opener. Although Nashville won this game I'm convinced we were the better team. We win these games 9 out of 10 times this year. Saros really stole them this win , after we went up 3 to 2 he made some really big stops particularly on Mercer twice. If we go up 4 to 2 than this game over and we win. The thing is we didn't and Nashville didn't quit. The brightside is we were down by 2 at one point of the game and still managed to get a point out of it. It sucks we couldn't get the win but games like these happen. It's good to know that 1 point we got in this game will probably come in handy later in the year and it won't be for some draft lottery BS like the last decade.

Saros bailed them out . Mercer and Hughes saves plus Nico breakaway . Preds get one chance with 8 seconds left off a lucky bounce . Frustrating and deserved to win but there are going to be games like these
we should fire nas and recchi again. it worked just fine the last time.

Smith was actually better as a forward today than as a defenseman.
We've got to stop the Smith hate. He's been everything we need him to be. A sixth defenseman who plays defense and is a character guy in the room.

Well if you go for broke you can give up the odd man rush or get a shot blocked and a breakaway. And statistically you’ve got a say 25% chance to scoring on the power play. You’ve got the lead and why take the risk, while if you run the clock you take it down to 46 seconds and have it in their end at the conclusion of the penalty? Playing it like we did wasn’t a dumb decision.

We certainly screwed up that last play by losing a bunch of puck battles, letting the puck go cleanly to the point and then turn letting the shot from there get tipped cleanly in front with 8 seconds left. And hell, interfere with Granlund if you need to. Clear him out.
At some point you just have to credit Duchesne and Johansson and Forsberg. They all made some really good plays that ended up being the difference in the game. It really wasn't like we were bad on those pick battles... They were pretty good.

Now 6-7 hours later, dont really mind the loss. Played well, lost on individual mistakes, were the better team, got a point, losses happen, life goes on and hype train is still on its tracks. LGD.

Crazy what playing well and winning does to my thinking process, cause normally I wouldve been splitting hairs at work after a loss like that.

Didn’t like Siegenthaler’s game tonight. A whole lot of just throwing it up or around the boards without looking. He usually does that more than I like but he was especially bad with it tonight. Led to some turnovers.
2 weeks with Siegs now
