I only wanted him fired when we were giving up shorties like candy. Never wanted him fired later in the season, but wasn't sad to see him go one bit. Shaw is either a brutal PP coach or just has very little to do with the power play, and Pete really is mostly in control of it.

At some poke the PP coach and his scheme is just an excuse for our PP. How can every single PP coach fail here and then succeed to top levels once they leave? It doesn't work like that unless the pieces here aren't working.

How many people are on the PP from past years like when Maclean was there coaching? Oates ran a better PP than this later in the year, and Tremblay was good in 09-10. Before that it was not much of the same personnel as it is now.

And if you use that argument then fine cause that's all the more belief for me that we don't NEED a PP coach at all. Let Barr run the PP, and don't waste money on a PP coach if it's gonna suck anyway.
