aside from Kinkaids bush league turnover and Rooney's soft PKing, solid effort and team team win.

Trav and BC own Pitts of late.
That line with Wood was great.

Care to give a description of his play? Ill watch the condensed game but if you or anyone else is willing...

The usual Zacha game when he's on his A game. Strong on the puck, decisive, excellent on the PK. It's essentially what you WANT to see all the time (or more often than not) but typically only see in a few game stretches with him.

Confident and Aggressive. He created a short handed turnover, fended off Malkin with one arm and made an amazing pass to Boyle for a goal...he made a lot aggressive plays and crisp passes throughout the game. His goal was a one timer on one knee on the PP...just an overall quality game from Pavel

Nice job on the faceoffs tonight. Also blocking shots. 36 to 28 in the circle and like 20 blocks. Been a while since we dominated the one and were as effective at the other.

They came out flat and we outworked them. Keith made a lot of really good stops in the 2d period when they tried to push back. Especially a few off of very tough deflections.

Had a highlight reel assist on Boyle's goal where he powered through Malkin and made the pass to Boyle. Basically it was how you would expect/want Zacha to play all the time. I really liked his goal...he was all alone in the slot and fired a one timer past Murray. I say I liked it because it was the type of goal (completely uncovered point blank shot) that he would have totally screwed up somehow earlier in the year.

He just needs to be scratched, demoted, or given a week off after every handful of games.

You really think someone will want him? I hadnt even considered the Devils being able to trade him.

i do. sharks were talking about a possibility. any eastern conf playoff team that will face the penguins down the road could use him. the penguins just to prevent another team from getting him.

I’m just being silly. Short of him having some crazy run it’s hard to see a contendinbg team giving up more than a low pick and meh prospect for a backup goalie and it’s not worth trading him for that sort of return.

But a team could use him to flip for another piece.

I can’t think of a team currently in a playoff spot that would hand over their starter role for the playoffs to Kinkaid. If any team trades for him it will be to backup and no GM now that Chiarelli is gone will pay a 2nd rounder for a backup goalie. That’s a pipe dream.
