If we didnt win againts philly florida and habs we would be in the top 4 picks.

And if we won against two other teams this year, we'd be in the playoffs.

Not sure how either hypothetical scenario really matters right now.

Yeah it's amazing to me how people whine more about the games we won because it damaged the draft pick than the games we lost that damaged our playoff chances. Especially with each Ranger **** up that just makes the margin of missing smaller.

Just watching the highlights now, the funny thing is it seemed like Elias was a step offside on the first goal. Darn refs, first they screw us on Sunday, now they're screwing us out of our draft pick :sarcasm:

Its not. the chance to win a car is the playoffs. $100 is the top 5 draft pick.

Wait, you would seriously take $100 over the chance to win a car?

Holy crap.. I'm honestly not sure what to think about that..

Well when you put it that way it's actually like the dopey mystery box game the Devils sometimes play where you have prize X then either get some great prize Y or bupkus if you trade prize X in for the mystery box

If i knew i was already eliminated from winning the car youre damn right i would

But that's not the scenario we're talking about. That would be picking between $100 and nothing. "I wouldn't choose the ticket to potentially win the car because I've already been eliminated from winning the car" makes absolutely zero sense.

If you have a chance to win the car, you'd take $100 over that chance?
If you have a chance to make the playoffs, you'd take a top 5 pick over that chance?

OMG!!! I don't know where you got that picture, but I've stood in exactly that spot! That's in Kyiv, Ukraine, not far from the Afghanistan war museum and the WWII museum, and Pecherskaya Lavra. Are you going to post some pictures of Birmingham, Alabama next?!?!

I would rather have won the last game and got blown out 12-0 this game.

Amazing that you'd actually have no preference between the 4th overall pick and a playoff berth, quite honestly.

He's just saying that either is better than this limbo the Devils are in now, where their draft pick isn't that great, and they're still mathematically eliminated from making the playoffs, and I agree.
