It really is.

Considering whom the Devils were facing, I wouldn't be all THAT impressed if I was a Flames fan despite the victory.

The Flames were dogging it. They didn't take the Devils seriously and put in almost no effort, and still pretty much carried the entire game and won. We used to do the same thing when we were good.

At this point I'll take anything where the goalies aren't pulling a Kinkaid rolling his eyes looking skyward after. I would say so long as nobody gets hurt but we're way too late for that.

So is it safe to say that Both goals on Blackwood were unstoppable?

I think so.

The first was just the flukiest goal I've ever seen since Mark Fayne's floater-special.

The second was just a nifty deke by the Flames player for the goal.

He makes Pavel Zacha look noticeable. My expectations have dropped significantly for him. I’ll take an NHL player at this point.

Zacha is better than half of the fwd lineup tonight. That is for sure. Makes you appreciate Zacha, to be honest.

Zacha >> Agostino >> Rooney >> Bastian >> Lappin/Pietila/McLeod

Did I miss anyone...... (Yaks FWD*)

That is Tkachuk and Rittich's celebration, they do it after every win.
Didn’t know that. Thanks for clarifying. I got no problems with the younger Tkachuk’s yet. But damn their old man was one of my most hated growing up.

Tkachuk celebrating like they won the cup. Go stuff your face with a bunch of ding dongs like your old man.

Here's a picture of his old man :

I don't understand what people see in him. He doesn't look like anything but a number 6/7 D man to me. He has the brain to play in this league, but none of the physical tools to be anything more than a 6/7 IMO.

He looked so much better offensively last year. This year he's just flat out horrible on the PP and with the man advantage. Way too indecisive with the puck. His shot choice is horrible too.

I think the 3rd period especially, we were just gassed. This was our 3rd game in 4 nights, and it was our 3rd east coast road trip this month.... our travel this month has been ridiculous.

Its weird, he's more physical than I expected but doesn't seem at all as fast as he was hyped up to be. Where's the game breaking speed/skating?

He frankly looks like a poor/awkward skater. It looks like his skating style is different than it was in juniors too. More hunched like he is looking to force power. Not sure what happened, but he just looks, well, bad. I don't even see NHL potential there.

I don't recall having much luck beating the Flames when THEY were bad while we were good. o_O

This is only his second game, hopefully he can gain a little traction here down the stretch but I really don't know what his game is, much like JQ.

Then facing us was the best possible way to end that trip. I bet HF Devils could put together a team that would beat the NJ Devils right now.

I just mean in general. Good teams look bad against bad teams all the time. But guess what? They still win more often than not.

I'm not going to lie, having you guys and the Sens as 2 of 3 on this trip made it less of a concern. But I still don't know what the schedule makers were thinking lol.

Literally our month went... in WSH, in CAR, home (1 game), in VAN, in TBL, in FLA, in PGH, home (3 games), in OTT, in NYI, in NJD. Looking forward to 10 of 15 being at home next month.

I think it was probably not quite as bad as it seemed with Mueller. Remember with head/neck injuries they tell you to stay down and prone because in case there is damage somewhere they don't want you to make it worse by moving around. But I did notice him moving his limbs. Still there's probably a concussion and other things that happened in that nasty fall that will probably shelve him for the rest of the season
