Granted we still lose this anyway, but this was not handled correctly imo.

Yeah that was awful. That’s a penalty and a non goal 99% of the time and a goal+power play 0.00001% of the time.

This wasn't the first time a Devils goalie was allowed to be 'contacted' outside the crease, hell it was a lot more egregious than Marty in Carolina where he arguably initiated contact.

In no universe that goal should have counted.

It was still a bad play by Blackwood and the contact was incidental. Calvert is clearly looking forward and not at Blackwood's feet.

You can point to officiating, but the Devils didn't play anywhere near well enough to win this game.
