this exactly. especially when it’s not necessarily a huge need - like what are we doing here? i’d rather run a right side of pesce - nemec - casey than trade a 2nd round pick for someone that is not going to be a difference maker in getting us into the playoffsWhile I do think the Devils need to hunker down and play defense first hockey, it’s annoying they’re having to use the little assets they have to acquire players just to replace guys who are hurt.
Maybe it was Lachance lol, probably not even that big of one thoughi don’t even to know which prospect is included to say f*** this guy
He may help get the Devils into the playoffs but this makes the Devils of next year have less assets to play with and that just seems like a poor play at the moment.this exactly. especially when it’s not necessarily a huge need - like what are we doing here? i’d rather run a right side of pesce - nemec - casey than trade a 2nd round pick for someone that is not going to be a difference maker in getting us into the playoffs
Problem is you need Pesce on the LH side these days to cover Siegs’ absence. Now without Dougie for two weeks that’s two holes.this exactly. especially when it’s not necessarily a huge need - like what are we doing here? i’d rather run a right side of pesce - nemec - casey than trade a 2nd round pick for someone that is not going to be a difference maker in getting us into the playoffs
so get a jag for a 5th round pickI don’t think they are comfortable playing Casey full time as an injury replacement yet.
do you though? we have hatakka, misyul, casey - but if these are the moves we need to make to compete then it’s probably not worth it imoProblem is you need Pesce on the LH side these days to cover Siegs’ absence. Now without Dougie for two weeks that’s two holes.
