This is absolutely false about Zacha. Zacha is very good defensively. Mojo is ****

I think both things can be true and he has been good defensively and he set up Mojo twice for great looks. What I am saying is, he's pretty much the polar opposite of Wood, who plays a more direct, intense game. I wish there was a bit more of that in his game.

He would be the player we want him to be if he had more directness to his game.

On Johansson, I wonder if Shero could take advantage of cap-strapped teams that would covet an expiring contract in a deal where they shed a long-term commitment?

Niederreiter? Muzzin? Both MIN and LA fans have been somewhat vocal about these contracts being the most likely to be moved for cap reasons.

We add, obviously.

Maybe at the deadline for a team looking for fresh offense. Small chance for a team like you mentioned above who might be looking for a panic move.

I think just about everyone wants more from Zacha. We really need more from Zacha, but the nuclear hot takes about him belonging in the AHL are unbearable.

Don’t over react to this one. This is a key point in the season. Who is going to lead on this team? I liked what Nico had to say. They know what they need to do, so go do it.
I think the initiative on turning the play around has to come from the locker room, not the coaches.

Time for Hall also to step up.

Yeah they really do need a prominent 'player' to say enough is enough. The only one on the team that might do that is Boyle but it's hard to be a real effective leader being a fourth liner.

He’s needs a wake up call to be a productive NHL player.....if the AHL doesn’t wake him up nothing will.

Actually I would be claiming it was one of the best pick we have made since he's still top 15 in scoring and top 11 in games played from a very good, maybe even excellent 2015 draft

Are you joking? You love to argue, so sometimes it's tough to know when you're serious. If serious:

Zacha and Strome are the only disappointments from the 2015 Top-10. Literally every other player is a home run.

It gets WORSE when you look past #6 Zacha

#6 Zacha = Depression pills
#7 Provorov = Elite offensive defenseman already at the age of 21
#8 Werenski = NHL all-star defenseman already when he was 20
#9 Meier = 20 goal scorer
#10 Rantanen = 55 goals in last 2 seasons

2015 NHL Entry Draft - Wikipedia

There is no alternate universe where Pavel Zacha was "the best pick we have made" there.

Do you just pretend Strome doesn’t exist?

Even if you could send him to the AHL you'd likely be replacing him with MORE Kevin Rooney on the PK and in a checking role. Expecting Seney to fill a top six role at center is a fantasy atm, then again at this point so is expecting Zacha to fill a top six role.

There really aren't a lot of options.

There is no alternate galaxy or universe where Pavel Zacha was "the best pick we have made" there.
Dylan Strome has 12 career points in 37 games because he hasn't been able to stick with the worst team in the league until this season. He has 2 points in 9 games so far. "Home run" pick for sure.

I seriously don't get the obsession on this board with litigating old drafts. The staff that picked Zacha don't even work for the team anymore. We have who we have now and endlessly arguing about it isn't suddenly going to change the pick. Focus on things we can improve on, that we can change. Focus on what Zacha needs to do to be better instead of endlessly talking about players most of this board didn't even want in 2015.

He was also saying if Zacha was a 5th rounder he would be an amazing pick. You took him way out of context and tried to claim he said Zacha at 6th was the best pick.

We need another 2-3 Charmin soft players on this team that will give back rubs and stand with their back to the attacker standing in the crease. Lovejoy can go to hell with his fish flopping routine and idiotic lack of gap control that lets shooters walk right down the slot and have a free screen.

Mueller can go staple himself to the bench if he's going to guess on where the puck will go next and skate to the boards when he should be filling in to the house with the Tampa D joining the attack in the slot. We don't need a Tommy Albelin, we need a friggin' Bruce Driver and STAT.

Coleman and Zajac with the idiotic penalties sunk any hope of making it out of the 2nd period alive and as awful as Coleman's cross check was - I saw 6 hand and towel dabs of his chin and never did see any blood so I assume it was the mildest of scrapes that produces something slightly reddish as he rubbed and rubbed his chin for the ref. My god the rule was meant if you cause blood to flow, like as it obvious bleeding, not the slightest DNA swab that can produce a viable sample for analysis. CSI NHL is on the case!

Zacha go sit the next 3 games and figure out what you want to be in this league because it sure as hell ain't no 1st round NHLer.

Taylor Hall, your summer is over, please come join the team's goal scorers at your earliest convenience.

6 total hits from our D tonight. Noesen alone had 7. Sick of this triple ply toilet paper defense!

Way to set the tone for the long road trip. Blown Leads 2018 - the band is back and playing our old favorites.

I think he belongs in AHL.

He never got the required development year that he should of coming out of juniors.

We know he can play D. Send him down to work purely on shooting and becoming a scoring leader.
