People are allowed to be negative, but when it’s the same people being relentlessly negative, not admitting when they’re wrong, and never adding anything but contention to the board, it’s a wee bit tiresome.
Why should I admit I’m wrong? Name one time I was wrong? Yeah I thought so.

I don’t want to hear the defense that the thread was wrong in this case.

When was Pesce guaranteed to come back for the home opener? Must’ve missed that. Unfortunate if that was said. Shouldn't be too long though.

Man... I look back at the draft and think "what if?"

With the emergence of Casey, what if Montreal had picked Wright and we got Slafkovski instead of Nemec? I mean, I love Simon, but we could really have used a potential scoring power forward. Imagine him on Jacks wing and Timo on Hischier's.

Just say'n.

I get that, but at the same time our D-core is shaping up to be absolutely stacked. That’s huge.

I'm more than fine with Nemec. A right handed all situations defenseman is a lot harder to find than scoring winger.

I’m torn on this. I like the intensity, but the former goalie in me laments the senseless waste of good lumber.

Markstrom definitely came as advertised as a bit of a nutbag though.
Hey, did you ever bust a stick on purpose in frustration? I don't ever remember doing that. It would kinda feel like smashing a guitar to me

That was a two-way that turned into a one-way, something which all teams do and New Jersey is no exception. Nico Daws is presently on a contract like that. Johnathan Kovacevic is also on a contract like that.
How does that differ from Foote who is making $150K down here after being with NJ for 4 seasons just like Daws.

back in the mid 90s i saw some local band in toronto and the guitarist played the whole set on one guitar... until the final song for some reason he grabbed another and then proceeded to smash it at the end of the set.

ah ya, the reason was the second guitar was a hunk of shit... it came across as trying too hard 'to look cool'

In the mid 1980s I saw a local Toronto band three times in about one week. They were great. RIP Neil.
