This debate about the Carolina game is some peak HFDevils, never change guys.

If I can’t jump up and can’t even tell what people are arguing about I don’t know what so would do with myself.

3-0 win against the team we're fighting for the division, 2 of the top 3 teams in the league this year, and we're arguing over whether the advanced stats tell the real story of how we won. Baffling.

I think it's pretty undeniable that we played an outstanding defensive game. Even on the few 2-on-1s, they were usually played pretty well by the defender and were assisted by good backchecking.

The defense was amazing and Vanacek played great and earned the shutout. I don't understand why these things need to be mutually exclusive. Two things can both be true.

Is Sharangovich still alive? I haven't seen any mention of him skating as an extra or anything since he came out of the lineup. Not that I think he should draw in over anyone aside from maybe Wood, but it's just weird that it seems like he disappeared completely.

I think I saw him in a picture from practice the other day when Lazar first joined

I didn't even bring up any stats initially I don't think. All I said was that they played their best defensive game in awhile, which I thought was kind of undeniable....but yet here we are.

Was Oshie fined or suspended? Penalized in any way? No, so Messier’s claim that this is the exactly that type of hit they are trying to get out of the game is actually Citation Needed.

I don’t love the hit, but I also don’t see how Oshie would have known his head would have taken that hit. The location makes it bad.

He wasn’t even completely turned and “boarding with numbers visible” is what tends to get called.

I find Messier’s comments a mess.

It’s one thing to be on the boards and discuss hits but he’s on tv there.

And lecturing Subban about not knowing what hits are allowed in the NHL was from outer-space.

It was clean hit because it wasn’t penalized in any way and similar ones happen pretty frequently.

Don’t say the NHL is trying to get “those type of hits out of the game” because they would be doing more if that was really the goal. They’re pretending to care about concussions for litigation.

Hischier plays a similar way. The other night when he blocked a shot with a few seconds left and the team up 2...I'm screaming at him through my TV. It's really not necessary to sacrifice yourself to that extent.
