tabled means delayed. Did you mean to say he's delaying any extension on Bratt? Last I recall he said an offer had been made to Bratt and he was waiting on a response. Bratt's agent being Bratt's agent, Fitz may be waiting a long time.

It's weird because he did say he's working on it and then he said he wants to wait until the season ends for those things.

Regardless, I would wait until the summer before getting freaked out about it.

As annoying and dramatic as the last two RFA deals for Bratt were.

One is as you say - to be delayed or held up.

The other, in my head apparently, was to put up an offer or 'bring an offer to the table' so to speak

I've heard it used as you did, but the context is typically a bit clearer. Hopefully something happens soon with Bratt. I am suspicious that Bratt's slump is secondary to his contract dragging on and weighing him down. Is he unconsciously playing to preserve himself rather than go all out? If he does play meh down the stretch and into the playoffs he won't have the leverage he wants to get tip top dollar. Not that a contract for $64 million over 8 years is chump change but it's seemingly not good enough for him.

If anything , I’d think that Bratt goes balls out to maximize his value , but like you said , it could be he is tentative and not driving the net or middle part of the ice as much as he did first few games this season . I can see both sides of his situation . A serious injury could potentially lose him close to 80 million $ ….. (worst case fluke scenario where hid injury prevents him from playing any more ) . Very very unlikely that happens but is still in the back of his mind you’d think .
If he goes full out and plays like he did the first few games this season , it could earn him that 9 mil per . Right now though … I don’t see him as a 9 mil per player . 9 mil should get you more consistent production and or strong two way game , 200 ft game . Right now he is none of those things .

No no no, you. misunderstood. He's negotiating with Bratt. it's the 8 year Blackwood extension he tabled until after the season. He wants to make sure there is enough cap space to offer him a max deal under the CBA.

I don't have time to go through it right this second, but I'm pretty sure it's somewhere in here.

Now it's been almost a week since I watched it, so I may have forgotten bits and pieces and maybe remembered some of this wrong, but it sounded like he was not worried so much right now about signings and waiting until after the season.

I don't think he wrote off re-signing during the year though, but he put some kind of emphasis on concentrating on our season right now.

I am very jealous. As a Devils fan from east coast Canada, I have never seen the team play. Heck, I have never been to an NHL game.

For the past 3 years I have picked out the away game in Montreal to go see. Every year something comes up. This year my wife finally gave in and let me get a second dog, so I can’t really complain.

I would attach a picture if the file size limit wasn’t so small.

Scored a great deal $120 CDN lower bowl tix, making the 7 hour drive in the morning from NB. Gotta head back Sunday so sadly no nightlife this trip.

It wasn't about Bratt particularly or even Timo or RFA's, but the question was in regards to UFA's.

I would think RFA's would be the same thing, but yeah, he actually didn't say anything Bratt or anyone's contract specifically. And the person asking was also specifically asking about UFA's and not RFA's.

Like I said, it was almost a week ago or a week ago when I watched it. So yeah, he kind of did say that, but just not about a particular player and the question was specifically about UFA's and not RFA's.

I thought he also mentioned it again later in the video when someone started asking about it again, but maybe not or that was in a different video.

I did skim enough to find it around 8:25 though.

That was my mistake about Meier and Bratt though. He didn't mention anybody's names. That was an error on my part.

I’m assuming no, but I was probably only 2 inches below topping out by about 13. I may have topped out at 15 or late 14. But I’m not even quite 6 foot tall.

I have a friend that like 5 foot 11 at 12 and stayed that way until he was like 18 or -9 and then he somehow grew 3-4 more inches between then and 21.
