Sissons was 9th amongst Nashville fwds when he signed his deal. Certainly not an essential player. He signed a 7 year deal worth $2.8 per.literally every one of those players is better than McLeod
Nic Roy plays ~4 minutes/game more than McLeod....he is not strictly a 4th liner. He also didnt sign for 6 years
Calle Jarnkrok has hit 30 points like 6 times in his career, and while in Nashville played 16+ minutes per game. I'd be stunned if McLeod ever gets there once.
Colton Sissons, again, plays 15-16 minutes a night. He is not a 4th liner
Stephenson I wont even dignify tbh
I'm talking years later signing a lesser player to a 6 year deal to $2m per.
Math adds up.
How is his offense not trending up?I'm amazed that anybody could think that McLeod's offense is going to trend up. It's not.
He is what he is at this point, and that's not very good. He might be solid defensively and useful for killing penalties, but expecting any offense from him is unrealistic. We can do better.
Look at his #'s.
