Really unlikely. The Lightning had good ending to the regular season and they've competed well against the better lineup in the playoffs. Those two Cups still give him a lot of leeway.

Would love to have him in NJ. He put up a coaching clinic against NJ Feb 25, 4 games after the stadium series. That killed whatever good feelings I had left about the team's playoff chances

Yeah no way they fire cooper. He got good results with what he was given. Vasi being mortal really exposes how old and thin that roster has gotten.

you're probably right. i'm just thinking that 2 first round exits plus a guy who has been there for like 11 years or whatever might equal a search for a new voice. especially with stamkos potentially leaving. if they are dumb enough to sack him, we should be all over that.

I don’t have the tweet but they said surgery was successful. No timeline other than ready for training camp.
