Couple things since I wasn't here all season:

- any Jack Hughes doubters left out there? Wonder if he is still "an embarrassment"?
- any Jesper Bratt doubters still out there?
- who remembers last summer when people were bitching and moaning about Siegs? He is already a legit top 4 defensive DMan.
- can we please for the love of Christ get a God damn goalie?
- trade #2 for the best young NHLer you can.

I was with you until the last one.

But welcome back.

Sorry to belabor the point, but do we think wild would do a 2022 2nd and 2023 2nd (conditional, can turn into a 1st rd) to get Fialas rights? Wouldn't involve our 1st this yr

Not a chance. Unless it’s a really good condition for them.

Of note for anyone who sees Ville Husso as a goaltending option for us this off-season. He will be a UFA. It seems Binnington has taken over the net. Husso played the first 3. Played really well in the first game leading the Blues to a win with a 37 save shutout. Didn’t do so well in the next two games and lost the net to Binnington who has kept the net since and won them the series.

Binnington has a big contract but was outperformed by Husso this season which makes it a weird situation for the Blues. But if Binnington is able to become the man again for the Blues in playoffs as he has so far that probably makes it more likely that they let Husso go and therefore more likely the Devils could get him in free agency.

Happy to see you back.

I feel I agree with what you say 90% of the time but have to disagree on the last point

Seeing all of these award finalists has me pumped about our future. I could feasibly see in 5/6 years from now the Hughes brothers being finalists for the Hart and Norris trophies…and perhaps all three will be on our team. (Did you see what I did there?)
Now if we could only find that vezina caliber goalie to complete the clean sweep lol

- Nope
- There are still doubters but they're just trolls at this point
- Siegs has morphed into quite the D-man and remains *the* shrewdest signing by Fitz to date
- Can we please get a Goaltender who : 1.) Doesn't retire, 2.) Doesn't get hurt, 3.) Doesn't suck
- uh....that's a big NOPE for me. Maybe if we stayed put at #5, I would agree with trading it.

Unless they literally can't announce an extension till July 1, Devils insiders might have some 'splaining to do after Tweeting out a random meeting picture of Bratt with his agent, insinuating there was an impending agreement to announce weeks ago.

It really depends on how many teams have an appetite to send valuable assets out for a player that if they can sign long term they will have to pay a UFA price for.. I have not looked to see how many teams could do that. The problem the Wild have is they will not want to take any salary back which limits the market.

The topic seems to be conveniently restructured - doubters? Meh...I don't what that means in the context of his disgraceful first two years.

I mean it is great he had 56 points in 49 games, I honestly mean that. It is something to be greatly encouraged by as long as you don't analyze the play too closely. 3 years in and he got his PPG up to Nico level first year level - His ELC was a complete and utter waste - largely due to the disgraceful first two years where he had 52 points in 117 games (36 point pace)

1.14 points per game in 49 games in a season that had a 26 year high in scoring is just icing a big pile of steaming shit that was his first two years. But it's something to lend hope that we didn't waste 64 million.

Ah...so we move the "disgraceful" title from Jack to Bratt, I see. :sarcasm:

IIRC it was an instagram post by his agent that they screencapped for Twitter. So it was really his agent that was hinting at something and DI just amplified it.

I wasn't talking about Bratt...I never said anything negative about Bratt once.

I thought You were talking about Jack?
Are you serious?

Look at my response to ZBC's post.

Each dash followed by a response is corresponding to each statement ZBC said.

- any Jack Hughes doubters left out there? Wonder if he is still "an embarrassment"??
My response : Nope.

- any Jesper Bratt doubters still out there?
My response : There are still doubters but they're just trolls at this point.

Me thinks you kind of misread things...pretty badly.

And THAT, my friend, is the true "disgrace" here.

He thought I was talking about Jack.
Of course he did, he’s the only person on earth angry(?) about Hughes’ rookie year and pretends it matters.

I guess one of our point leaders shouldn’t have gotten a shoulder injury or you should discover the concept of rates.
