This is a pornographic post for @Satans Hockey

We were talking about it in the around the league thread. I love it, I believe it's the first NHL team/arena to do it so hopefully other owners find out from the Utah team that if works and follow suit but I won't hold my breath considering Atlanta has proven it's a success and others haven't followed their lead.

I've been talking about it in every Devils survey they have sent me for years now.

Why would they make stuff cheaper in NJ? Its a HCOL area.

They would make more money. Ripping off your fans with high prices just because you have them inside the arena with no other options isn't the way to go. $7 for a bottle of water is absurd and has absolutely nothing to do with the high cost of living in the area. Read the article...

I never liked that combo. I know it's a classic, but the flavors just don't mesh for me.
It's a traditionally southern food. You see it a lot down here. It's more Georgia/South Carolina than it is Cajun but you sometimes see it here with spicy chicken which is a different take on it. It's out of place in NJ.

My sister went to the Super Bowl in ATL and paid like $3 for a bottle of water. At the Super Bowl!

Hey Devils fans. Over on the History subforum on the mains, we like to indulge in a little bit of fun now and then in the form of meaningless rankings, comparisons, and debates of historical players. This year we're ranking the top goaltenders of all time, and in the first voting round, as expected, Martin Brodeur is up for discussion for a placement in the top 5. I'm sure there's plenty of Marty fans around here, and we're always looking for people who can put together a compelling case for their favourites.

If you're one of those people, or if you simply enjoy reading and learning about players of the past and present, come on down and join us in the thread for some pre-season fun. We've only just started, so any and all contributions to the thread are appreciated and valued!

Sure but what his teams definitely never did were forecheck hard and breakout cleanly. If you read the article, these are two specific things Keefe pointed out before reverting to typical coach speak about character and culture and routine.
Keefe is likely the worst nhl coach for coach speak...the guy is a robot of hockey BS. I like the Devils ability to grow this year. despite Keefe...

Eager to see how the top 9 spins out. To me the Devils and the Stars may have the best top 9 in the NHL..

Are the projections on this sites thread accurate?

Timo MeierJack Hughes [A]Jesper Bratt
Tomáš TatarNico Hischier [C]Dawson Mercer

If the Devils want any chance of having a good year, theyd do best to never run those two top lines you have listed

those are what theyve ran the last week, yes

Just because they're not officially sent down doesn't mean they're not Comets. Is staying up in the NHL training camp that detrimental? I presume the AHL coaches are there to guide them, still being in the NHL in name only.
I don't follow this. Of course they are still Comets. The point I have tried to make is that the Comets ave carried and are carrying the brunt of the Devils' preseason as NJ readied readied for Prague.

Prior to preseason game 1 both teams practiced every day.

1st 4 preseason games to be played in 6 days The rosters for all but game 4 were a mix of Devils and Comets.

9/22 Preseason 1- Devil's 2nd and 4th line
Bowers centers Palat and Noesen
Schmelzer centers Foote and Stillman -theoretically a Comets line
3 Top6 D

9/24 Preseason 2- Devils 2nd line
2 top 6 D

9/25 Preseason 3 - Top 2 Devils lines played this game.
3rd line centered by Dowling.
Macdermid with Parent and Stillman formed the 4th line resting the Devils 4th line who played in game 1.
2 top 6 D

9/27 Pregame 4 - Devils forwards comprised all 4 lines
Cotter centering # 1 with Hughes absent.
Foote took Cotter's spot on line 4.
2 top 6 D

That's it now off to Prague for some practices, but no games until OCT 4 & 5.

Comets will get 2 days between game 4 for rest? and practice. Then they will play 3 games in 4 days 9/30, 10/1, and 10/3. On 10/4 the Comets have their only preseason game vs the Syracuse Crunch on 10/4.

Would have to guess that Dineen gives them 10/5 for a break and to deal with their housing/etc. and then back to work on 10/6 to be ready for their season opener on 10/11 again against the Crunch in Utica.

5 days to get things straight.
1st who actually are the Comets and who heads out to Adirondack.
Who does NJ send down by 10/7. Those waiver eligible have to wait 24 hours before being assigned.
After getting that all straight, who skates with whom making up the Comets lines to start the season.
Who makes up the D-pairs.
Are their unhealthy guys in NJ who can't come down until they are game ready. That may determine a Thunder player stays here until such time that player is sent down.

I'm sorry. If you can't see that the Comets had a harder time during the preseason that's on you. That's my stance and I won't argue about it any further.
