I used to have a bottle of skunk scent in my jeep too. One winter I loaed up cotton balls with skunk scent and stuck the cotton balls in my best friends vents in his car so every time he turn his heater on the scent would fill his car.
Why does this not surprise me?

I didn't wear any of that stuff. I was a jeans and high tops guy. My Guido friends all did though
I'm STILL a jeans and high tops guy.

I don't wear sneakers much anymore except to go to the gym. And I hardly wear jeans these days

I wear quick dry hiking/fishing pants most of time. Orvis, Mountain khakis or Sitka pants is what I wear about 90% of the time these days.

I am skeptical any player in NJ is ever under more pressure than any player in Calgary. Nobody puts a for sale sign on your lawn in NJ if you don’t make the playoffs. Nobody is harassing you at the grocery store or the restaurant in NJ.
Oh yeah no pressure...Fans will love him if it fails maybe even buy his groceries and pay off his house NJ the land of peace and kindness....Come here and fail no pressure

Do we have a draft thread yet? I'm a huge fan of this @Guadana dude and I'm really curious what he has to say about this year's draft crop.
Looks like I'm retired too) I watched khl and some mhl guys, but not regularly and only them. I will watch some guys when we will getting closer to the draft, but I will not make a deep dive. I'm working on the big animation project now and investing all my free time in it)

I'm thinking we need about 18 more wins and a handful of loser points.

Not a lot of room losses.
We are in two points away from Detroit wilde card wings. We need to be better than them and any other opponents. Eastern conf is bloodbath this season. May its 18 wins, may be less.

We are having 21-8-3 or 19-8-4 or somewhere in between with Nico and Jack on the ice. We are behind Detroit in two points only. 30 games is enough to win more games.

You want Saros, you got to give.

Kind of where I'm confused on what people want or expect out of finding a goalie.

That rumored Markstrom price is cheap compared to what the goalie of people's dreams is going to cost.

Kahkonen still exist. He has 91.7% 5 on 5 with sharks defense, Markstrom has 92.3% 5 on 5. Kahkonen is cheaper, younger, and we can sign him or not sign him this summer if we don't want it.
I'm not against Markstrom trade, but we still have good and cheaper options.

we don’t need to worry about the number of points at the end of the day we need to worry about keeping pace with the teams around us. just keep winning and let the standings sort it out but it’s turning out to be a funny season with a lot of mediocre teams.

its there for them now as long as they play like the last couple days

I just don’t see enough people caring that it is a factor. Any pro athlete feels some pressure given the nature of the team but a guy like Markstrom is going to have more pressure just to play well to get another deal much more than anything he will face because of the local market. Just my thought. You can of course see it differently.

My point is there will be high expectations and in Calgary they are expecting a rebuild....Look back they were begging to unload him

It's probably going to take at least Mercer. Friedman already speculated that Carolina will put Necas on the table for Saros.

Beyond the fact that I think Necas is an overpay in a Saros deal, Necas doesn't fit Nashville's timeline. He's eligible to become a UFA in 2026.

I’m not sure the actual fandom is reflected by what we read on these boards. Calgary is just outside a playoff spot right now. It’s too late to tank this season for them. That aside I get what you are saying.

He said it with the expectation that Nashville will lock up Necas long-term. Part of the reason Friedman thinks Necas will be on the table in a Saros deal is because he thinks Carolina will have a hard time getting an extension with Necas done after the season.

So you wore a collard shirt with your loincloth and smeared yourself in deer scat so they couldn’t smell you? You must have been quite a sight. In 1989 I was wearing those silly Miami Vice jackets and white pants. It went great with my Lanny McDonald stache and my mullet. Some where there is a picture of me at a party decked out that way. My kids were horrified
Ok what was great about this was that it was out of fashion before it began. In 1989 I distinctly remember wearing a white jacket, leaving a girlfriend's dorm room full of friends, and after closing the door one of them said: "what, is that guy from 1980?!"

Kids wear jackets that are close to members only jackets now. I never wore those because my grandfather wore one back then.
