If you envision each PP as having one focused shooter, which I think would be Shara’s role, then you have Hamilton and Holtz in those roles on each unit.

So I think Shara has Hamilton ahead of him (also Shara won’t be the umbrella too) and Holtz being given a shot.

I don’t see Shara as much of a distributor or net front guy. His best shot is to get into one of the unit in the slot spot.
Yeah those are good points. Just kind of confused at this whole thing haha.
I am surprised Nemec made the team since our right side is set with Hamilton/Marino/Severson. But now he's on the PK in practice... so is he playing 3LD?

Why is Johnsson being figured in when they just waived him? He can't possibly be in the lineup right?

For what it's worth, Rango has 4 PPGs of his 40 career goals.

My guess is that Tatar and Holtz will be on short leashes there for production and Rango will take over for one of them inevitably. Tatar has been a productive PP guy in the past and Holtz is hopefully going to be the future shooter on PP1 when the time comes.

Rango gets his goals, so I'm not worried about him at all. It's not like we're running these units all season long lol.

It’s just for practice. They’re working on the pp and the players on the pp obviously can’t kill against themselves. So they have guys not on it killing as placeholders. Everyone does that

With Nico working on the PP, he also can't be out there on the PK at the same time so I get having someone like Johnsson take his spot on the PK in practice. It is a bit concerning that there is no mention of Zetterlund though

One thing mentioned in the broadcast the other night is that guys like Nico, who play PP and maybe PK, never really get to practice the PK since they’re on the offensive side of practice.

So there could be some PK guys during the game that we won’t see practicing.

You can see the extreme pain on Nico’s face just doing a basic skating move. I expect he is shut down for the rest of the season and hopefully can be back for next training camp.

Black pants with a red jersey? That is the worst photoshop I've ever seen. Clearly they don't want us to see he's actually on one of those sleds the amputees have to use to play and this is a big coverup.

On a serious note, I have nothing but respect for the real folks who can overcome loss of a limb or worse to get on the ice and play hockey. The toughness those folks show is more admirable than they get credit for. I have both my legs and at my age would be nervous to skate at all. Last time I went skiing I was so passive and conservative because all I kept thinking was that I would blow out my already partially torn ACL. Overcoming your limitations to play with joy and effort is no easy feat.
