Actually it was that idiot Steve Vallequette who said it during the intermission break. He was practically crying because the Rangers were getting a beat down by the Devils.

Yeah I saw that Vallequette clip on line this afternoon - but what happened last night was that after Steve’s melt down, not unexpectedly, one or more fans picked up on it (in their after the game thread) and began fulminating like Jacks break away was a clear provocation and outrage .

But on the whole the Rangers post game thread last night was actually pretty balanced, funny and calm. Some guy was hilarious imagining an episode of “undercover boss” with Drury in the Rangers locker room and what he would hear there and finally say.

My favorite Wikipedia edit on Hynes was when someone put that he died on the night of his last game coached with us, and the place of death was in Buffalo, which is where his last game with us was played.

And it said something like “John Hynes was an American hockey coach who coached for the New Jersey Devils of the national hockey league” which whenever someone is no longer living they’re referred to as was and not is.

And that was even before they announced his firing.

Honestly, I had no idea you could even pay to get rid of the ads. They should do a better job promoting it on their site. That put 100 ads on a page as is. Even after being told I had to look around just to find the upgrade account link.

Yeah, it’s ridiculous how much of a secret it is.

I used Google to find that info I posted about it because I always forget where it is.

Even people who’ve vaguely heard about it often don’t know the cost and are surprised to learn how cheap it is.

No idea why they don’t a banner that says “AD FREE VERSION for $12/year” on the front page. (There’s other benefits too but who cares lol.)

What sticks out to me is that the Blackwood guy on SJ might be a good trade target. They are rebuilding and don't need a goalie heading into his later 20s. He's playing well. Didn't he have a nice game against NJ in November? What do you think NJ would have to give up to get him in a trade?

That's the big difference. If the point is to call out the Rags for not having a pulse, that's fine.
