Listening to NHL Network on XM Radio before the game and they were basically saying Rangers need to get rid of Trouba and Kreider both for locker room issues and to get the team back on track with replacements coming the other way.

I'm lurking the Rangers subforum for their reactions and all of their anger is focused squarely on their team, and rightly so. So at least it's sane here.

This was also the annual game where they honor the Garden of Dreams Foundation, and they had a teenager with a rare genetic disorder sing the National Anthem. That's just sad, being terminally ill and watching your team just not give a shit.

Even with how great he was defensively to start the year the numbers look even better recently. I imagine that's largely because he's been spending more time at the other end now. I've said it multiple times also, this is the biggest "what if" in the last 20-25 years in the NHL. NYR gets him and they probably win the Cup in 2022 or 2024, maybe even BOTH, but we have an elite top 5 center. Hockey gods came through for the Schneider years.

lol Their insane boosting of Kakko had to be purely psychological. Not to say Kakko wasn't great his DY because he really was but I mean c'mon Jack was always the clear #1. They were subconsciously pumping up Kakko to the absurd degree they did while simultaneously tearing down Jack because they knew Jack was never a real option for them.
