That is the thing I just can’t figure. Not sure there is any explanation.Amazing how much worse we have been at home than on the road this season.

Went down 4-0, came back to 4-3 and gave up two empty netters.I didnt watch this game. Was it dell who was the problem, The D? Or a combination of the two ect?
Coasting might not be the best use of word but let’s just say he won’t be going through a brick wall in our remaining games and with the season he’s had and our position in the standings, I wouldn’t blame him one bit.
Yes, Nico hasn’t improved at all in the three games, he showed no improvement after shaking off rust at any point during his five game stretch before and we should sit healthy players. Great take.i honestly wouldn't mind or care if he didn't dress for another game this year since the season is lost and he has nobody competent to play with. i'm sure he'll manage to get injured again at some point
It’s really unfortunate that both Zacha and Bratt went down for Nico’s sake.
That would have been a terrific line for him to play on. Instead, he’s left playing with borderline NHL players.
Yes, because the Rangers are the greatest team on earth so that’s the only explanation.Without knowing anything about this game other than the rags went up 3-0, I'd say our goals came after the rags were cruising, and it pissed them off so they just scored 3 more to slam the door. At least we didn't get shutout I guess.

Jim McKenzie needs to find a slot here. Better fighter than Oliwa imo.

Really believe Bratt's fate in the organization was sealed when he missed the pre-season with a new coaching staff in place. Tough to think his priority is contributing to a winning club and being part of what the Devils are hoping to build.
With several younger forwards on the way and cap room available to sign priority free agents, it's hard to visualize a scenario where he's not one of the odd men out this off-season.

Bratt’s actually not injured, he’s just being held out as a precaution for the inevitable off-season trade.
I’m not sure how often it need to be repeated that making any bold claims about any of the main roster players under these circumstances is largely unfair.
Everything left about this season is to figure out who is going to fill in those spots for next year that are up for grabs. There is nothing Jack, Nico, Bratt, Wood, Zacha, Smith, Severson, Subban and Blackwood have to prove to make me feel any different about their play and abilities. They are the staples going forward for next year.
Sharangovich and Kuokkanen are guys who are showing they have the tools that we need. I like McLeod overall and think he can fill in the bottom 6 role also. Everyone else is continuing their audition for next year. All you can hope is that they show the fight that they did tonight for a full 60.
Everything about this season is unreasonable, even pre-COVID. We’re all sick of losing but it’s going to be tough to expect them to outplay teams on most nights.
The amount of young talent in the pipeline is incredible. We now just have to hope that they put it together.
It’s not easy to sit through the rest of this season. Here’s hoping it will be worthwhile in the end.
I’m looking forward to seeing Foote get a shot tomorrow.
