I don't wanna hear any more lazy shit about Luke Hughes being bad defensively, by the way.
I’m going to be honest, I am very impressed with Luke’s huge improvement this year. I guess us fans have to admit he was just very green last year. I think he’s turned the corner and am willing to bet he only gets better from here. I think someone posted a couple games ago Quinn was the same way and now look at how crucial he is for the Canucks.

I think it was a beat down. Gadjovich got
him with some good ones to the face and Dillon was struggling towards the end before he fell down.
Dillon has a face shield on. Gadjovich was just swinging wildly since his helmet came off and he was blinded with a jersey over his head and that’s dangerous . I’m sure he was fighting for his life. He’s lucky he fell onto Dillon. If his head hit the ice that could have ended badly

It's funny that he's been really strong defensively all year and the offense has been what's lacking. Tonight on the other hand it was all there.

He just needs to understand his strengths in the OZ - deceptive and accurate wrist shot, great hands, and can attack down hill.

When he tries to play too much laterally like he is Quinn it’s when the turnovers happen.

It’s a shame MacDemrid isn’t good. Having him to fight when needed is a nice luxury.
Agreed. He is legit horrible though outside of that. He can't skate, he acts like the puck is a time bomb, it's brutal. And we have that neanderthal for another two years after this one. I have no issues with having him play when the opposition has a fighter in the lineup but he's utterly useless when he's not doing that.

Luke also got to stop playing in one of the worst designed defensive systems in a long time.

As long as the injury wasn’t a C we could put Tatar in the top 9 and not be hurt too much but yeah. Agreed lol

Fitz is probably forced to make a trade in any situation where someone in the top 9 needs to miss time.

I would be surprised if he sat on his hands and let injuries potentially sink the team again. Especially after a solid start results wise
