There's not much I'm overly concerned about with this series. One thing though is that the Canes dump and chase like nobody else in the league and retrievals were one of the few consistent problems we had this year

We really shouldn’t be playing Timo immediately. Regardless of whatever tests they ran on him, he suffered a major blow to the head that left him unable to get up for a time.

NFL doctors tried to say Tua didn’t have a concussion after slamming his head on the ground and wobbling to the ground shortly after. And then he had a horrible one not long after. We need to look out for Timo’s health, you know he wants to play right away.
There is one big difference… even though the blow was nasty his head didn‘t snap and hit the ice when he fell down… hence, also from reports… I am pretty sure he is good to go.

That's the problem.

As far as I know, Carolina fans consider us their biggest rival. Meanwhile, we just consider them a gnat buzzing in our faces.

That being said, I think we can turn it around this year.

They do?

It’s a bit of a puzzler to say who should be there greatest rival. They don’t have a ton of playoff history.

They never played the Southeast Division much in the playoffs so I don’t know what sort of lingering Divisional rivalry history they have there. (The Metro started in 2013-14.)

Just going by playoffs, I don’t see how we’re top rivals. We were 1-3 vs CAR and all the series were in the 1st or 2nd round.

They’ve played more meaningful series against Boston, who they’re 3-2 against. We prevented them from playing the Rangers for the 3rd time in a row.

We can certainly build a rivalry now that we’re in same division with the way the playoffs are set up, but we been out of the loop for so long and the history just isn’t same. I guess the Atlantic Division programmed what I think of as rivals too lol.

Why don't we have an entire schedule out for the second round yet? I'd really like to know if there's a game on the 16th or not.

Has the league ever done? Not even released the full round schedules on the afternoon of the start of a round?

Probably my guess is the networks fighting over which games they get to air and when is causing the delay

Ghost, Burns, Paxieretty, Stastny... Canes have also been trying to buy the win with big names.

Hope they haven't let the muscles cool down too much, since as a general hockey fan, this should be the fastest and most active hockey the playoffs can offer. Woudn't want to see a frozen opponent with too much pressure to succeed..

Again, I really think having Luke back there is going to be better. Canes are not as high skilled threat offensively as the Rags, but they have much better ability to score off the forecheck. When Luke came in to play, he did really well breaking the forecheck and pushing play forward.
