As far as I know, Carolina fans consider us their biggest rival. Meanwhile, we just consider them a gnat buzzing in our faces.
That being said, I think we can turn it around this year.

They never played the Southeast Division much in the playoffs so I don’t know what sort of lingering Divisional rivalry history they have there. (The Metro started in 2013-14.)
Just going by playoffs, I don’t see how we’re top rivals. We were 1-3 vs CAR and all the series were in the 1st or 2nd round.
They’ve played more meaningful series against Boston, who they’re 3-2 against. We prevented them from playing the Rangers for the 3rd time in a row.
We can certainly build a rivalry now that we’re in same division with the way the playoffs are set up, but we been out of the loop for so long and the history just isn’t same. I guess the Atlantic Division programmed what I think of as rivals too lol.
