These are bad team and goalie talking points and excuses.

Goalie is allowed and required to make a save on an expected goal here and there.

Anytime you hear someone say "that goalie had no chances on x, y, z what do you expect" it means you're basically looking at a losing team and a mediocre goalie.

No doubt they've played better than they have in the last few.

But the special teams are horrid, which really takes away any of the perceived good you are doing 5 on 5.

It feels like this is what they are. Which I'm not sure is much of anything special.

Woll has a 3.92 GSAA this season and you have people saying he's allowed to make a save once in a while. This is why you can't take our fans seriously. How about our defensemen touch some forwards at our net?

Just compare and contrast to the way Mitch Marner and Jack Hughes control the puck, distribute the puck and skate to deceive. One guy looks like he's just winging it, the other one looks like they're fully in control and aware of what's going on.
