I think we just need to find a way to survive the 1st 2 rounds. I'm not too worried about the Metro teams even though on paper they look better than the teams in our division. We just suck against the Atlantic for some reason.

Carolina is the wild card for me. If they are finally able to put everything together, they could be a problem.

I would generally prefer home ice, except this team is probably better on the road. These guys have crapped the bed in game sevens at home and on the road so I'm not convinced - at least with this team - there is a compelling argument to be made either way.

Exactly. 70 goals in nice but doesn't really matter, playoffs matter. And playing him back to back next week just seems wrong, and that goes for all our key players. I'd be sitting a ton of guys for one game next week, not just Matthews.

70 goals matter, anytime we talk about records, goals, points, 50 goals in 50 games, 92 goals a season, 200 point seasons, etc they are all regular season stats. Nobody talks about career playoff stats, they aren’t even included when you look up career numbers unless you specifically ask for playoff stats. I bet nobody knows Gretzsky’s career points plus playoff points or Ovy’s career goals when you add in playoff goals. Playoffs are a bonus thrown in at the end of the real season.
