Who blew coverage on the Borgen goal? He was wide open with tons of space and no one close to him. I think White and Bahl were on the ice but pretty sure it was a winger that was supposed to cover Borgen

That’s over the line. That said you are all dead wrong. It’s not a great movie. It’s the US equivalent of one of those French movies where a riderless bicycle rolls by and then it rolls last a couple sitting at a sidewalk cafe smoking. They don’t speak and they don’t lol at each other. Then the word “Fin” appears on the screen which fades to black in a fuzzy circle.

I think I would have to reevaluate my whole worldview if Neptune turned out to be real, either in an astrological or mythological sense.

On some level it’s tough to assign blown coverage since the forwards all have responsibility for the entire defensive zone.

So 2 guys make different reads and they could both be reasonably correct but since they thought each other were going to do different things they it screws everything up.

In this case Zetterlund goes to add pressure on the puck in the corner while Bahl and Mercer both go to cover the uncovered net front. Mercer gets there before Bahl and as a forward is expected to fill an uncovered crease when the defenseman have vacated it.

So all 3 guys arguably could have covered where the shot is coming from but all of them made “proper” reads within the system. They’ll probably say Mercer should understand Bahl will cover the crease soon and he should route to fill Zetterlund’s vacated spaces.
