The damage this team has done to my mental health this year is astounding.

The fact that I feel free and relieved a season of my favourite hockey team is over is so telling.

I love this team/organization, but will say this. The 2024-2025 New Jersey Devils was probably the most unlikeable Devils team since the turn of the millennium, and it's not particularly close. Blown leads, injuries, absolutely floated all the way to the end of the season. Just a horrible season, and I was feeling better after last season, which is also telling.

Time to heal lmao.

2010-2011 Devils were worse especially the first half

I would say the only more unlikeable team was the 2010 Devils, and I mean the second half of 2009-10 and the first half of 2010-11 as one entity. But at least that team had won more before than this group has and Lou did fire two coaches and trade the captain.

We haven't really had anyone pay for the last two seasons as of yet. Can we resume the talk about at least punting Rogalski now?

Lol beat me to it

Nah this team is way more unlikable. The first half 2010 team was a victim of the most horrendous coaching in franchise history. Once that got corrected they became insanely fun and almost pulled off a miracle run to a playoff spot.

I’m not even kidding about this. Every forward that is not Jack, Nico, Bratt and Meier can get jettisoned in the offseason.

No reason to get rid of Cotter.

I'm not sure what the offers are on Mercer, but I'd definitely listen.

They also quit on Lemaire the second half of the previous season and no-showed a playoff against the Flyers including a Game 5 elimination at home. That team became underachieving twats before MacLoser ever got involved, he just made them historically bad.

Bratt anyone see him? Wait he’s got great advanced stats doesn’t that count for a goal at the end of the game or something? Shucks

Bratt is a playoff no show
He was the best player on the ice for either team in a few games this series. Didn’t have a great one tonight. This is a ‘didn’t watch but looked at the scoreboard’ take.

Not as soon as you think. They’ll handle Caps/Habs winner. Then it’s gonna be a coin flip against either Toronto or Florida.
I don’t know about that. These dorks barely beat a team wildcard caliber team consisting of just two nhl caliber forward lines and whose entire blue line was cut down with injury. I can see Washington or Montreal beating them.

f*** off Sal, nothing I like better than being gaslit by my own f***ing tv crew.
I don't know how some of you are even listening to the postgame tbh...I have it on but don't really give a **** about anything except maybe Keefe's presser and you know he isn't gonna say bad shit about anyone today, even Markstrom.

It's unacceptable to give up a 3 goal lead and then a another single goal lead, go 0fer on the PP all series,
I usually don't make a big deal out of things like this, but f*** Dougie so much for smiling in that handshake line.

To Kochetkov? REALLY? Have they ever even met before that encounter tonight? He never played with him in Carolina.

I guess he's happy that he doesn't have to play while the meds for his prostate are kicking in.

I'm feeling the same way.

Pesce and Noesen maybe have a bit of an excuse, it was last season but it's too giddy for me.

Nico, Markstrom looked devastated. Pissed off that it ended like happy go merry shit

I definitely see the Caps punting out the Canes easily unless Freddie comes back and the Caps' goalie doesn't...then it might be a series. Montreal might be a bit harder, especially since they'd have to drain themselves to come back so I'm definitely rooting for a quick kill by the Caps atm.
