GDT: Devils @ Golden Knights - 8:00 PM - MSG

MSG crew was trying to bagdad bob it and saying it could be something else, but Jack was holding his arm in a way that looked like some bad damage, we've seen that before.

"We will check with coach"

Also kind of reminded me when kovy (#17) face planted into the ice after catching a rut and wrecked his shoulder.

I get that, I'm just saying it's probably my last resort to go this hard for a game where none of the skaters are legit doing anything offensively. I commend Keefe for not giving up but going for it there felt half hearted with the game they were playing tonight.
I hear you but, I mean, you would have to blame Jack for going hard to the net in the same situation.

"You PLAY to WIN the GAME!" :)

Yeah. I miss that one season where we’d roll lines and skate teams into the ground. Hope Fitzgerald sees what’s happened and makes the adjustments going forward.

Why should he be allowed to fix the forward core that he brutally f***ed over? No thanks. Shero got lambasted to the coals for not building a defense. Fitz should be fired to the moon for doing the same to the forwards when he got handed a contender on a golden f***ing platter.

Tom is such a smug f*** unlike Lindy. I can totally see him saying some f***ed up shit if there were chants calling for his head and he was asked about it.

He seems like he could be a nasty guy. At the very least I could see him going on about how this and that takes times, blah blah blah.

Jack is incredibly talented but it’s starting to look like he’s too small and fragile to ever be in the same class as other superstars in this league. Bratt is an outstanding play driver and play maker, but he’s not a true goal scorer. Timo is basically a highly skilled grinder who averages 60 points when he’s not on the PP regular. Our best offensive players are still a tier below the true superstars in this league like Mackinnon, McDavid, Drai, Kucherov, Eichel, Matthews. And now we also have little to no quality depth. Nico is our best and most complete forward.

This is a flawed core and poorly constructed roster playing for an organization whose leadership has been questionable for a dozen years now.

The roster construction isn't terrible. My god every team has some not so good contracts. If the Devils didn't have so many players slump offensively this season than they wouldn't be struggling this bad. They honestly really just need 2 forwards (top 6 wing and a 3C) and their lines would be night and day better...These were realistic pieces they can aquire at the trade deadline.

They have put up almost 2 full months of this garbage but weren't doing that prior. The goaltending and defense were all fixed by Fitzgerald. Why have they looked bad 5 on 5 , on the PP and PK latley ? That has to fall on Keefe and his staff a bit. There's no reason for a team to suddenly start to play worse as the season goes on...

Yeah, he did a great job with the defense and the goaltending. No arguments there.

I think if we dont agree that the roster construction up front is bad, then we should probably just leave it at that. They have like 4 players that are not even NHL players at this point.

jack needs to put on weight and muscle but if he’s injured and recovering for another offseason we’ll have to wait for that

I feel you in a way. We were also very close to landing Marchessault last summer. That contract would have been a tough one on top of Palat. Perhaps forwards aren’t his forte

Not blaming Jack when two of his injuries have been board collisions. McDavid broke his collarbone his rookie year on the same thing and no one called him soft. You're not winning a collision with that at full speed regardless your stature.

Not sure how we are blaming Jacks physique on the 3 injuries he took in his career. We have seen bulls like Kovalchuk take similar spills and get similar injuries. Putting on weight doesn’t prevent Wrist/Clavicle/Shoulder injuries like that.

He simply sucks on that side of the puck, I have next to no faith in him being the GM of this roster anymore. He's done well in net/defense but blows massive chunks elsewhere. Move on from him immediately.
