As brutal as much of this season has been, the reality that there are only 6 games remaining SUCKS. 5+ months without Devils hockey is even more brutal. Thank goodness for BBQ, beer and booze.

I actually like Lehner, but after publicly coming out and talking about how he's better than all these other goalies (which for the most part is true) and yet they get paid a lot more than him, he now looks pretty bad for the kind of season he's had. Which isn't a bad one, but it's a pretty average at best to mediocre season. I know he's been in and out constantly injured this season and weirdly brought back from injury, then taken out again even just the other night.

But this season really knocked him down after all that talk about how he's better than all these goalies and yet they're paid more than he is.

We have actually beaten Pete at least twice from what I remember when he was with the Sharks and maybe even a handful of times when he was with Florida before he ever got here. I think this is only the third time we've played Vegas with Pete as the head coach. Gallant was still the head coach the first time we played them in 19-20 and I'm pretty sure it was the day Hynes got fired and our first game with Nas as the head coach. I think we got shutout by Vegas last time we were here right before the first covid shutdown that ended the 19-20 season. And a few months ago (I remember Blackwood was playing and he SUCKED in that game) was the first time we had played them since 19-20.

I clearly remember Keith Kinkaid shutting out the Sharks on the road in 15-16 when Cory was injured and then Kinkaid beat them in one of the first few games of the 18-19 season when we started out 4-0-0.

I think the 2015-2016 game was the one where he said we had a lot of AHL players (I think it was after the deadline) in the lineup that night and how they shouldn't have lost to us.

I know Zach Parise also once made a comment about how it's no disrespect to us, but we had too many guys missing that night for the Wild not to beat us.

Ehh, they're still a pretty new franchise. I checked the Kraken board a few times, mostly just to read what they were saying about Grubauer and their goaltending and they didn't have many posts either.

The Devils forum is actually VERY active for a team that's not out of Canada AND has been bad for as long as we have.

I would say for the most part, the Devils forum on here is probably one of the most active out of all the bad teams that aren't from Canada.

I'm assuming Detroit and Buffalo have active forums though, just because of how big hockey is in their markets.

Our page is WAY more active than most, but 61 posts? That's weak sauce. I'm sure their fanbase is relatively large but I'd also guess that a ton of the ppl in their building have no clue what they're there for and are just doing "Vegas". Hell a lot of teams fans go there do that, I was going to for this game but just couldn't work it out. Social media isn't a good gauge either, it's easy to click follow on IG and FB whereas HFBoards is essentially for die hard nerds like myself.
