Maybe super secret Tallinder trade upcoming?

This is what I'm expecting. The other shoe has to drop. This news of a "open heart" discussion between Tallinder and DeBoer today just fuels the rumours even further.

A "panic move" according to Boomer Esiason.

So the first place team in a conference replaces an injured kog with a proven role player, and that equals a panic. Got it.

Holy ****, and his army of blue followers just lap this **** up too.

He might have said this sarcastically, but I'm sure a lot of Rangers and Devils fans alike didn't interpret it that way.

I think he's a sellout and an ass but it's not like NHL13 and you pick a box.

At the very least he was going to bail and wanted to be sure Suter was coming with and that Minnesota's team was going to pay them both handsomely. Hell he might have been waiting for a bidding contest to make sure both got more money, who knows.

Haven't we made the conclusion that he wasn't coming back though? We can't say for sure how early this decision was made, but after all the **** we found out it's pretty obvious. From the Red Wings picking up at Suter at the farm, to Zach's talk with his family (Found out to really be Suter)

Parise was making one of the biggest decisions of his life. He's not at all self centered for taking 4 days.

Lou could have chosen to negotiate with Ponikarovsky. Parise didn't stop him.

Plus Lou did sign Bernier/Carter/Gionta/Harrold before UFA anyway. Poni wasn't going to make 'that' much more than them, it could have conceivably been done.

I don't blame Lou for prioritizing Poni below Zach/Marty/Sal/Moose but he could have been signed if both parties really wanted to make it happen.

BS! He knew he was leaving. I'm tired of people sticking up for him. Either he lied to the Devils fans, or he lied to the Wild fans when he said ''I always knew I wanted to come home to play.

It doesn't matter. Parise earned the right to become an unrestricted free agenct and take some time to weigh his options.

Some of you should give it a rest. Yeah it sucks that Zach left, but get over it.

Oh, he knows who he is. He was about 5 feet away from him when this happened.

I like the show, personally Carton is a million times better than him. Boomer ruins any allotted time they get to speak about hockey with his fanboy ********.

That's Carton lol? He looks so depressed in that picture. I would love to see Boomer's face after that goal was scored. Would have been priceless. :handclap:

Never saw the picture from that angle.. makes Henrique look like a fool skating right into the glass celebrating while his team is several pace behind

I've only had a few OT winners like that (obviously, not like THAT) in my life and as a goalie, it's a pain in the ass to be a few seconds late to the celebration because you're on the other end of the ice. Depending who scored though, they would sometimes skate right towards me and it would be epic :D

We can hate on Parise for bolting the Devils, I do, but blaming him for other FA's leaving? Especially in a case like Poni where he jumped at the first lame offer that was put in front of him. Doesn't add up.

Open heart could just be attempt by Deboer to soothe any anxiety Tallinder may have over the DNP's.

Lou made a comment that we were waiting on another player and during that time Poni decided to sign else where.

Lou also said that they wanted to re-sign Poni.

AKA We were waiting to see how much money we had left after Parise

No, that's Boomer. Which is an even BIGGER "lol".

I think Carton was there with him but I don't see him unless he was acting like an azz and cheering with the Devils fans just to troll Boomer. :sarcasm:

Recco, whoever the update guy was. They just wanted to bust the guy cause he's a Devil fan from what I heard.

I sure hope that's the case. Cause if Boomer actually thinks reacquiring Poni is a desperation move then he's a bigger idiot than I originally thought(that's saying a lot) and the biggest Ranger homer in the NY media.

I think I may have seen it here but I'm not completely sure where, wasn't there a picture of Carton in a Devils jersey?
I understand it could've very well have been that he lost a bet, but still.

I was scanning my twitter, but maybe I missed this. I saw that Lou and Darche had a conversation, which was basically Darche realizes he isn't signing here. Who said that Tally and DeBoer had a conversation?

From TG earlier today:

"Defenseman Henrik Tallinder will be a healthy scratch for the seventh game in a row when the Devils host Philadelphia Friday night. Tallinder had what he called an “open-heart discussion†with head coach Pete DeBoer on the ice at the end of today’s practice.

“I think that’s what good coaches do,†Tallinder said. “Sometimes you have to explain the situation and hear what the player thinks and all that just to keep the group intact.â€

Tallinder, 34, has never sat for this long of a stretch without being injured, but knows he has to continue to be patient and wait for his chance.

“It’s not fun,†he admitted. “But it is what it is, as I’vesaid before.â€

He knew he was leaving because he knew he could get more money elsewhere and Suter was never going to come to Jersey even if we could afford it.

Never mind that Minnesota was dishing so many hints on what they were going to offer that it was borderline tampering. You can appreciate what he did here, but in the end he lied and was a sellout.

I don't mean to beat the dead horse, but I think Zach legitimately wanted to stay here, but he promised Suter back in the summer of 2011 after the MacLean disaster that they would go somewhere together. But I think he changed his mind watching this team grow together throughout the 2012 season. He was going to bail on SOMEONE he cared about, it was just a matter of which one.

I don't think it was a decision he made likely, and that he would have stayed had he not given Suter his word a year earlier. But whatever. Water under the bridge.
