I don't think any of them other than Trouba maybe, are embarrassed. Their "meh" attitude comes right from the top down. Chris "I won't let it ruin my weekend" Drury is such a drab milquetoast person. Gallant has no personal accountability. Panarin shows up when he feels like it. Mika is either in his own world or focused too much on his flow. Same rotten issues that plagued this team months ago still exist.

I really wish these players would read these boards to see the things their hard working fans are saying about them. Fans that spend their hard earned money and time watching the games as a form of entertainment to escape the everyday grind. Maybe they'd self evaluate feel some kind of embarrassment. And then actually show up to the rink and put an honest effort in.

Yes, Gallant should never have moved Mika off that spot. He's the only one who actually regularly looks to unload a shot on the PP and that is his most effective spot.

I also feel like Panarin and Kane shouldn't be on the same powerplay. Neither of them want to shoot.

First 3 games were mostly good, last night was a disaster. The Rangers didn’t have many multi game slogs after those first 20 games of the year.

I’ll take my chances with them getting some pp luck back in their favor after not having any in games 3 and 4.

Igor obviously still needs to keep doing what he’s doing.
 
Mika-Kreider-Tank-Fox-Bread would be my 1st pp unit..Vinnie and Kane on the 2nd unit with the kids.Its a waste having Tanks shot not on pp1.you need that shot threat there so the pkers can't cheat to Mikas side.it keeps them honest and gives you 2 lethal shots on both sides

Need good vibes, good idea with a new thread, frustrating to say the least but we just have to hope the team has the fortitude to regroup. We have at least 2 more games of Rangers hockey. They have to win 2/3. 1 at a time
 
28 hours later and I’m still (snow) blind with anger at last nite’s player and coaching performance, but let’s see if I can meet the positivity challenge.

Rangers win Thursday if, in addition to the PP adjustment already noted of putting Zibby back in his office, the team goes back to its near-100% success rate in games 1 and 2 at disrupting the Hughes Youth’s zone entries. How our defensive “structure” could evolve to taking one second of focus off of him is sort of unfathomable.

(Mentioned elsewhere but worth restating - the crowd booing him is really just a sign of fan displeasure, or maybe lack of faith, with the team’s inability to contain him.)
 
These f***ers better get their asses and the puck to the net. No excuses. Also put Mika back to the left circle where he scores 75% of his goals from....what kind of imbecile move was it to take him off? WTF has Panarin ever done from that spot except for passing it back to Fox and whiffing on one timers. Let's f***ing go.
 
If the Isles, who looked dead in the water heading into last night, can win a pivotal game 5 on the road then so can the Rangers. The extra day gives the team more time to game plan, while the Devils will probably not change much if anything.

GG wind sprints them to death today at practice...The Rangers repent and march on towards the promised land.
 
The 5v5 lines probably will not change, but Gallant will probably go to Kreider-Trocheck-Kane & Panarin-Zib-Tara -- or swap the centers -- in certain spots of the game if necessary. A power play unit of Fox-Zib-Kreider-Panarin-Trocheck is almost inevitable. At least, it should be, but egos are too big not to have one of Tara or Kane stay on it.

The Devils probably don't have any changes but I bet they're forecasting the Rangers to make the above change to the power play and to create more traffic in front of Schmid and game-planning for those.
 
Feed Mika on the left half wall one timers on the PP. He can then try to find CK or if they overload coverage down low send it across to Kane, Fox or Panarin. Shouldn't bee too complicated. But it starts with a willingness to rip it off the pass and then puck retrievals. If our PP can score 1 goal in either of the last 2 games we're talking about a different series here.

whatever you do with the pp you MUST get mika back on the left dot for his onetimer and stop f***ing around with that. he doesnt belong in the bumper or down on the goal line. he is a onetimer trigger man. put him back where he belong and leave him alone. kredier doesnt belong at the point on the powerplay, he is the net front guy. mika is the left dot guy for the one timers. stop jerking him around
