Better period overall. We've had better chances than the Flames.
 
That might have been the best shift of the game for us.

Lousy period and game overall. We started to look a little better before the penalty, but got stuck in our end the whole PK and then for another shift after it ended.

You have to get a clear.

I detest the idea that a PK is fine if it’s getting hemmed in our end and getting no clears. Especially at just a one man advantage.

What's there to respond to? Bastian was already doing the responding. He stuck up for a teammate after a check and got his ass kicked.

Agreed, They were shooting from the point and Markstrom had a clear view of. I think People need to realize that Markstrom isn't vanecek. 99% of the shots he see's clearly from t he point he's going to save.

Bastian got hurt “responding” to Lomberg’s shitty hit. And we got an extra 2 out of it. Nothing good comes of taking a stupid penalty in a tie game.

Second year in a row Bastian steps up to defend a teammate, leaves a game hurt, and isn't responded for

How many more guys do we have to lose to injury before we decide to reciprocate the level of nastiness other teams show us?
 
Honestly unless I'm misremembering this feels pretty much like the nov 8th 2022 game against the Flames where it was 2-2 until 8 minutes left and Nico scored the big goal.

Then I guess other teams have something we dont. whether thats indicative of success or not I dont know; seems like Florida did pretty well playing the line

Not sure what makes our team Holier than the others

There's nothing to respond to. It was a fair fight and he got his ass kicked. Responding to that is being a punk who can't take an ass whooping.

It's a tie game. Win the game. Why are we trying to protect a guy who basically f***ed around and found out?

See, youre looking at it from the lens of a morally-correct citizen; this is a violent sport, not a court of public opinion.

Why the Devils cant respond in jest, dirty or not, but others can I will never understand.

The league is penalizing defending teammates the right way.. so maybe dont? Were going to pretend that Tom Wilson or Mathew Tkachuk wouldnt jump a player who beat up their teammate?

Theyve won Cups with that attitude youre detesting
