Last one on Beato. He IS a bit of a lightning rod which makes his vids even more entertaining.
I had to leave the NJ sub, it was just painful to sift through all the political stuff. Even my damn fantasy football sub turned political when they got swept up in the “banning links from twitter” fad.Oh I really do enjoy Reddit but it's hard to not notice how much politics is actually within almost every sub. The sub newjersey is basically just people complaining about the current president and people that support him, doxing restaurants, and complaining about how expensive everything is. Reddit's a good resource for stuff if you want to use it like that though.
He doesn't need to be a transcendent player every shift, the playoffs are about moments and he typically performs well in big moments. This is where I'm going to disagree. He's not going to flip a switch and become some transcendent player in the playoffs. Hes finished. They seriously need to consider buying him out.
i haven't been to a game in almost 10 years...i went to buy 2 tickets on stubhub for saturday and i see two separate $50 fees (one for each ticket) on top of the $113/seat tickets i was fully willing to buy. obviously i cleared my cart and didn't make the purchase.
is that the new normal? who in the hell is paying an extra $50 a ticket? it's just absurd. f*** you, stubhub
that's absolutely disgusting. i mean, i understand supply and demand for a rangers game, i was fine overpaying for each ticket by $15 bucks or whatever it was. but a fee shouldn't be subjected to that same principle. It's against the rags unfortunately. Supply and demand. Some people have discretionary income to blow. Most don't.
Stubhub realizes their fees are ridiculous and put the filter option to include those fees way down where you have to scroll to turn the option on. What's even more insane are the fees are variable depending on where the seats are located. Check out section 17. $307 dollar fee.

I gotta admit. I've been on Twitter for a while I genuinely don't see that type of stuff but everyone says it's there. Guess I'm fortunate.

In 1989 you could go to the box office and get any seat in the house for $28 or lessthat's crazy shit....
tickets for upper ends were $25 including fees on stubhub for last night's lightning/sens game

In 1989 you could go to the box office and get any seat in the house for $28 or less. I have a Row 1 $28 ticket for the home opener against Calgary somewhere in the house. We sat just to the side of Mike Vernon twice...He smiled and waived to my wife....never really cared for goaltenders since.
I just checked it wasn't the "home opener" it was the 2nd home game of the year 10/10/1989.Did this entire board smile and wave to your wife at some point?![]()

If I remember correctly (I probably don't), that was the first year I got season tickets (partial plan), and I think the home opener was against Pit.I just checked it wasn't the "home opener" it was the 2nd home game of the year 10/10/1989.

It was. And the only reason I know that is cause I just checked. If I remember correctly (I probably don't), that was the first year I got season tickets (partial plan), and I think the home opener was against Pit.
i was 15. went with a friend/soccer teammate at the time. he went on in life to do....well..... all i'll say is google college street bar news.
i digress, this is team thread...
My first "real" gig was 2004, I was 16. Hoobastank. £12.50 (which at the time would have been like $9).
Yeeeeeesh. We managed to get beer with a friends fake ID though. That was good. Supported by Three Days Grace who were much, much better than the Stank.
thanks buddy i’ll check it out. believe me, i tried explaining the dynamics of a devils/rangers game to the old ball and chain but she insisted. then again, she’s a (very casual) flyers fan so needless to say her judgement is very flawed to begin with.Take a look at Tickpick if you haven't already. They don't have the fees tacked on at the end, so you see what the cost would be up front per ticket. The cheapest two ticket options I see there are $135.
It sucks that the Ranger game gets inflated this way, but it also helps prevent me from attending one given it brings out the worst of both fan bases.Last regular season game against the Rags I attended was 2013.
Did you find The Reason for me?
Only reason I remember is cause we got in a fender bender on the drive in and missed the opening ceremoniesIt was. And the only reason I know that is cause I just checked.
