What is the marker for Allen's games played to bump the draft pick up that we gave them? And with enough cushion to end the year we could just start Daws or Markstrom a few extra games no?
Now divide that by 2…
Allen has to play in 18 of our remaining 23 games for the pick to conveyWhat is the marker for Allen's games played to bump the draft pick up that we gave them? And with enough cushion to end the year we could just start Daws or Markstrom a few extra games no?
I believe you but do you have a source?
“I’ve been caught with my pants around my ankles but damned if I’m not going down swinging”I believe you but do you have a source?
The trade would double our cap space. I say go for it.
You're literally on the internet right nowI believe you but do you have a source?
If you trade Allen and Markstrom gets hurt then your tandem in the playoffs is Daws and Poulter. Why wouldn't we trade him. It's cap space sitting there for the rest of the season unless someone gets hurt.
I rather roll the dice with Daws, trade Allen, and use the cap space at the deadline.

If Fitz could get Quinn for that, I'd drive to Vancouver just to help him pack!!!!!!!!!Mr Erycap will not approve. First name Sal.
We can all dream though.
Besides it would probably have to be Nemec, Mercer and a 26 1st. At minimum.
Allen is a more efficient use of cap space than whatever player we could add for whatever minuscule savings we’d get from trading him. Goalie depth is very important, especially when your starter is 35 and currently injured. Why wouldn't we trade him. It's cap space sitting there for the rest of the season unless someone gets hurt.

Sign Kovy and work from there. Quinn moves the Devils into a very serious Cup contender.
Possibly looks like this:
Quinn/Kovy
Siegenthaler/Dougie
Luke/Pesce
Not too much of a dream list!
And with these 3 in the wings -
Dillon (34, Devils) Now becomes #7.
Casey (21, rookie - (Devils/Comets) could play in either locale)
Silayev (18, KHL) - Projected to probably be here next year.
Silayev/Casey 1/2 cooking in Utica to begin next season?
Still in the system with the AHL Comets.
Misyul (24)
Vilen (21)
Hatakka (24)
Utica would look like:
Silayev/Casey
Misyul/White
Vilen/Hatakka
Still in the system, being followed, but haven't been signed.
Ethan Edwards (22, 3rd year NCAA Michigan)
Charlie Leddy (21, 3rd year NCAA Boston College)
Daniil Karpovich (20, VHL with a visit to both the KHL and MHL this season)
There area few other outliers, but I'll let them lie for now.
I don't care when. That deal is well worth it.I do not think any Devils fan would dispute how next level Quinn would make us. Thos would be a trade kn the offseason though. No chance that happens during the season.
You're literally on the internet right now
sorry pet peeve

The term bust is subjective and that's the problem. The guy has carved out an NHL career. Has it lived up to the expectations attached to a top 10 pick when he is surrounded by draft picks with better numbers? No of course not. Is that a bust? Also no IMO. Busts are Yakupov, Scott Glennie, Filatov, etc.true but i'm def not going to take advice from you since your the same guy that tells me zacha wasn't a bust at 6 lol
middle 6 is the political term thrown around here but hes really just a 3rd liner with fringe top 6 potential in limited times. lets not forget i did say lesser extent mercer but thats lost in all this.
Yeah and JrFischer's definition of a bust is MUCH more unrealistic than most...to him if you're not a star player in the top ten or top six player after that then you're a bust. It's a bit more nuanced than that, and guys don't really hit at that high a rate. The term bust is subjective and that's the problem. The guy has carved out an NHL career.
