That’s always a risk with depth players. Guys like Bratt and Meier and Jack aren’t going anywhere but replaceable guys like Mercer Kovacevic Tatar and Hischier can be moved at any minute for a third pair defender.

Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. I almost pulled the trigger on a Mercer jersey during the 22-23 season. His play combined with a 27 goal season looked like he was gonna blossom into a 30+ goal scoring winger kind of comparable to Parise. It's baffling how much he regressed since then and it makes me sad. I was a big fan.
LTIR at this point, as far as I am aware, is only valuable if the Devils absolutely need to open up cap space in order to ice a full 20 man roster of players. So far, we're not there yet.
Getting into LTIR prevents the team from acquiring any additional cap space ,which is not good.
If Siegs is really done until the playoffs, I don't expect him to be placed onto LTIR until after moves are made at the trade deadline so that we can maximize cap space.
