The goals will start going in at a high rate for Timo. Thats just how it goes with these kind of forwards.

They started playing better after Marky got hurt. They started playing like they lost their safety net.
If history tells us anything it'll be worse than they're saying now.Oh it's a relief too, I'm happy about that.
I'm just questioning the usage of mild the way it was reported just prior. I guess medically it is a "mild grade sprain", but as a fan I don't consider a guy who misses a month and a half to have a mild injury..
No point in really debating too much, it's more an interpretation / semantics on my end
Good he is not needing surgery or the like, at least not yet.
But he was taken off the unit because the unit is better with another player in his spot.I don't think Timo decided to go to the coach and say, "hey, don't put me on PP1". If you sign an offensive player, don't play him on the PP, and wonder why he isn't scoring as much, that's on you.
I agree. And a team signing a player to a big ticket would probably want to have thought about that before signing said player.PP units aren't just about being the best player. It's also about roles and which hand you shoot with.
I agree. Noesen has been excellent on the PP. It really is not all that surprising, because he was doing the same thing in Carolina. But he was taken off the unit because the unit is better with another player in his spot.
And yes Noesen has been amazing, but we didn't know he was going to be this good. Timo was pulled from the unit in an effort to get it going.
Yes but they also started looking good earlier in that game when the lines started clicking. And they threw it into another gear when Markstrom went downThey started playing better after Marky got hurt. They started playing like they lost their safety net.
You continue to miss the part that Timo was pulled from the top pp unit. In addition to his 5v5 shot rate/goal rate/shooting % being at or near career lows.I agree. And a team signing a player to a big ticket would probably want to have thought about that before signing said player.
I agree. Noesen has been excellent on the PP. It really is not all that surprising, because he was doing the same thing in Carolina.
But then if you pull Timo from the PP to do that, it doesn't make sense to wonder why he's not scoring 35 goals. Last season there were literally zero 35 goal scorers in the NHL that were not also on their team's 5v5 PP1 (I will answer the question I posed for you there, seeing as you were unwilling to answer).
Agree with Boss above, and I always consider it when we look to add fwd's. If you acquire a goal scorer who scores a bunch on the PP, what happens if he were to come here? Even a guy like Tkachuk, he definitely squeezes Noesen if we were to acquire him, but would he actually be better then Noesen on the PP? Would be tough.PP units aren't just about being the best player. It's also about roles and which hand you shoot with.
There you go - I forgot about McDermid. You certainly sit him and not Dowling when Haula returns.Take MacDermid out of the lineup before bastian I beg
11-5 shots in the 1st period.Yes but they also started looking good earlier in that game when the lines started clicking. And they threw it into another gear when Markstrom went down
And then you choose between Bass/Dow/Tatar/lazar when Palat gets over the illness. There you go - I forgot about McDermid. You certainly sit him and not Dowling when Haula returns.
Palat will squeeze Mac. Haula will squeeze Dowling. There you go - I forgot about McDermid. You certainly sit him and not Dowling when Haula returns.
Devils had that shot advantage in first but I liked their play with around 7 mins left in 1st and how they started the 2nd11-5 shots in the 1st period.
What really got going in the 2nd was the PP. 2g's in the 2nd. 1 in the 3rd.
Kind of blurry to me.Devils had that shot advantage in first but I liked their play with around 7 mins left in 1st and how they started the 2nd
They had 3-4 prime scoring chances in that first. It was a good start even with them finding chemistry with the new linesKind of blurry to me.
I do remember Timo looking very good right out of the gate.
Oh well, guess the source I used wasn’t accurate. Where did you get yours? Would love to have another ressource to check out lines!I was shooting from the hip. I've got the top paid list up. Still need to cross over to the PP.
One player I saw who was just signed to a big contract and who has underwhelmed is PL Dubois. I'm doubting he's on the top PP unit.
Edit: all 3 of the guys you mention are on their teams top pp units.
Tedenbust
Alleged NHL defenseman Brendan Smith
JON 'POWERHOUSE OF CARDS' GILLIES
Krys Barch
'THE OG GREEK FREAK' Tom Kostopolous
Oh and dishonorable mention to Andrew Peters
Just look at PP ice time and that should give you a good enough ideaOh well, guess the source I used wasn’t accurate. Where did you get yours? Would love to have another ressource to check out lines!
He is below 38% - he is not getting materially better or stronger. Avoids contact as much as possible and has no forechecking desire.I mean, he has 100% gotten better at faceoffs this year. Albeit not a huge amount but he is currently at a career high in faceoff %
Its not something that comes quick, think he will continue to over time.

People literally just sit here and spew lies to fit their narrative as if we dont watch the games lolI say this with all due respect
do some of you guys even watch these games?
also, faceoffs are next to meaningless.
You never know. Crappy goalies won cups in the past when their teams play lights out. Lets see how this Canes squad does. It was long overdue them to make a big splashGet me a 3C + Palms to counteract what the Hurricanes are doing. Hopefully the Islanders stall out a little bit, I think they're on like a W3 or something lol
I keep saying it but Carolina won't do shit as long as they have Freddy in net, Kotchekov blows too
