Per 60 rates take that into accountAnd he’s also getting less ice time than he was in San Jose by a wide margin lol

The team is struggling to score goals. Timo as our highest paid fwd scoring at a career low rate is part of that discussion. Why does there always have to be a whipping boy? Timos quality of play has been very strong. The points are not as much for X reasons.
Now, if he was playing like ass along with the point production dragging then sure, whip away. But that’s literally the opposite of what’s going on.
Buy the sponsor for a year, so much better and worth itSite is back to being unbearable on mobile with all the ads smh
The $1 a month option? I'm not on this site on my phone all that much, but I'm thinking about it.Site is back to being unbearable on mobile with all the ads smh
As noted above I was talking 5v5 scoring/60 so his total toi does not factor into that. And he’s also getting less ice time than he was in San Jose by a wide margin lol
Also, Grits is too old for the list but Wheeler in the comments would put him 4th; for anyone wondering.Fairly in-depth article on our prospect pool. The top three is no surprise.
New Jersey Devils are No. 17 in 2025 NHL prospect pool rankings
The Devils' pool is one of the league's quirkiest in that it's led by three of the sport's top young defensemen.www.nytimes.com
so he puts up points at a third line level? There isnt any excuse, he literally puts up points at a level above Nico Hischier but then gets hate for not putting up enough points because hes PP2.
He has been more then good enough. If you say points dont tell the story - he is 3rd on the team in expected goals, top 4 in points per 60, Corsi is top 4 on the team (above Bratt), top 3 in on ice goals %
He has been more then good., he would probably have 5 more goals and 10 more points had he been PP 1.
These are going to be awesome
That logo tho, badassThat bright green is the kind I never want to see the Devils ever do again. It's so bright lol
Think I'm going to do itBuy the sponsor for a year, so much better and worth it
Done!Think I'm going to do it
Agreed the logo is great but that green, yikes. Would be better with this green...
JP Gambatese had a Twitter thread on this but the best performing bottom sixes in the league are FLA, DAL and VGK, who get about 1/3rd of their goal scoring from those guys. Multiple conference finals, not to mention cup finals, for all of them. Our bottom six accounts for 1/4th. It is a problem and in the playoffs you need unsung heroes. I don't think the current group is capable of that.Still REALLY don't get some people wanting to trade Hamilton. Slow start because he didn't play hockey for a very long time. He's on pace for 51 pts which would be the second best year of HIS CAREER.
None of Casey, Nemec, Kovacevic or Pesce are going to come remotely close to replacing that offensive production.
It is just simply making the team worse by trading him. You want to have two kids thrown into responsible roles and big shoes to fill when the team is in their contention window.
The problem isn’t the green jersey. It is the red pants. If you go green jersey, green pants, red socks (kind of like the Bruins used to do with yellow socks with black jersey) it would look better.Agreed the logo is great but that green, yikes. Would be better with this green...
Shades of red and green Colors are bad.
I dont understand the infatuation in trading Dougie.I think it would be a net gain if we traded Hamilton for Miller , and replaced Hamilton with Nemec or eventually Casey . But I’m saying that without taking into account what that would or could do to the locker room. Might sour some of the players and not work out as it should on paper . Maybe Miller gets pissy when he isn’t the first C up in a key situation . Maybe Jack doesn’t like having Miller take his draws and switch from C to wing for face offs ( possibly ) . Or first time Miller flaps his gums at Jack when he has one of his notorious turn overs in overtime etc . , it causes tension between the two .
First off , Hamilton would have to waive to go to VanC . I can’t see that happening ever . So it’s kind of a moot point . On paper , I’d like to swap him for the type of player Miller is , but not Millwr himself . My only concern with Miller is if the Canes land him for a bunch of “ meh “ . If it’s Kotinemi or however the hell you spell his name ( pretty sure it translates to “underwhelming “ in whatever native language ) , I’ll be pissed . Without adding to out forward group , if the Canes add Miller without really taking anyone off their current roster of any significance ( Morrow / Drury / KK ) , then I’d say we are pretty well much screwed if we face them in the playoffs
I mean, he has 100% gotten better at faceoffs this year. Albeit not a huge amount but he is currently at a career high in faceoff %Jack is yet again having another terrible face-off season. I don't even really care about the face-offs - it is more so how has he not gotten any better in six seasons? Doesn't seem like he is getting any stronger and is afraid of physicality. I don't think he is having an overly strong season, especially at even strength.
Not gonna lie, it took me a good 2 minutes to figure out who the hell that was.Agreed the logo is great but that green, yikes. Would be better with this green...
