Allen can easily handle these next 7 gms. Its why we have him. A veteran who is use to the random backup goalie life. Night and day difference from the days of throwing all of the kids in there the past few seasons

The fact that Marky was better in the postgame gave me hope. Even if he’s ready for the 4 Nations, they’d better not play him.
He’s third in points at 5 on 5 playIf anything I think some of you are giving him too much of a curve and too many excuses
He definitely has that in him.I don't really care *that* much what Timo does in the regular season, it's all about the playoffs with him.
I don't remember who but someone said that he needs to "play like a bastard" in the playoffs and I couldn't agree more.
If he’s playing pp1 he’s probably got another 10 points to his total and everyone would stop bitching about it
When I looked last night he has 74+ pp minutes as of last night and 6 pts which are about a fifth of his total. But it's not about point production so much as the inconsistent play all over the iceHe’s third in points at 5 on 5 play
Get zero pp time
All of the sudden he’s supposed to start scoring at a clip that he never has before ? Makes no sense
We get it you are mad at the 8.8 million figure but this is also a market where goalies are getting 11 million dollars.

Never scored before? Compare his last couple seasons in San Jose to his totals here, it’s just excuses and rationalizations I haven’t seen to this degree since Kovalchuk. And you would think one of ‘three’ coaches would have put him on the top power play by now if he was playing well enough on it.He’s third in points at 5 on 5 play

There isnt any excuse, he literally puts up points at a level above Nico Hischier but then gets hate for not putting up enough points because hes PP2.Never scored before? You guys are really hanging your hat on ‘five on five points’ but points themselves don’t even tell the story…how often can you truly say he was a dominant force since he got here?

I don't think it had anything to do with handedness. Not as the net front guy. Nor was anyone aware just how good Noesen was around the net.People say it's his own play that removed him off PP1, but the ability to have another right handed shot (who happens to be one of the best net mouth guys in all of hockey) in Noesen along with his ability to get those loose pucks is what had him removed. It was almost a perfect storm to have a righty added to that unit and it unlocked them almost instantly.
I still remain someone who puts really no stock in what a guy is making. If a guy commits to be here and wants to be here, I'm cool with him getting paid so long as he's busting his ass for the team. Timo has done that. It's the same reason I don't get bent out of shape about Palat. As a UFA, we knew what we were getting into in signing him for about a year and a million too much. Unfortunately, his game has worn down earlier than expected. But he's not a guy who isn't trying to bring it every time he's out there.
His 5v5 goal scoring rate is the lowest in his career. He’s third in points at 5 on 5 play

Oh I am not disagreeing on that whatsoever, I'm referring to the expectations themselves not the actuality of his play.55 points for 8.8 mil is kind of shit though.
And that's precisely what we all expected or at the very least a great winger for Nico but he just doesn't fit in like a Jack-Bratt, Nico-Bratt duo has.People keep saying that we should upgrade on Palat for Jack's wing - that guy should be Timo!

You guys are really hanging your hat on ‘five on five points’ but points themselves don’t even tell the story…how often can you truly say he was a dominant force who took over a a game since he got here? It’s always but injury, but Lindy, but he doesn’t get PP time, but Shesterkin
His last couple of seasons in sj he was getting 2 more minutes of ice time a game along with about a minute more of power play time a game as well.Never scored before? I went over this last night, but Nico was the goal scorer of that duo. Also the primary assist guy. And oh yeah the high end defensive center and elite faceoff guy. There isnt any excuse, he literally puts up points at a level above Nico Hischier but then gets hate for not putting up enough points because hes PP2.
He has been more then good enough. If you say points dont tell the story - he is 3rd on the team in expected goals, top 4 in points per 60, Corsi is top 4 on the team (above Bratt), top 3 in on ice goals %
He has been more then good., he would probably have 5 more goals and 10 more points had he been PP 1.
.99 g's per 60 and 2.3 pts per 60 5v5 in the 3 seasons from 19-20 to 21-22 in SJ.His last couple of seasons in sj he was getting 2 more minutes of ice time a game along with about a minute more of power play time a game as well.
I’m not even going to get into the taking over a game aspect which will then lead back into point production which will then lead back into opportunity (aka toi)
Each of their own I suppose
Timo is floating jn the top 3 of every advanced stat for this team.
And he’s also getting less ice time than he was in San Jose by a wide margin lol.99 g's per 60 and 2.3 pts per 60 5v5 in the 3 seasons from 19-20 to 21-22 in SJ.
.84 and 1.85 the last 2 seasons. in NJ.
The split season was 1.85 with SJ and 1.41 with NJ.
At 5v5 he's producing well below the rate he did in SJ.
