I'm not sure how Nemec could have beaten me out much less Kovacevic or anyone else when he came into the season injured and hasn't really recovered until lately.

He's hardly playing mediocre hockey in the AHL - he's got 17 points in 17 games, after starting slowly with 1 point in 7. The only knock on him was the knock on him at draft day that he's a touch physically soft in the D zone in front of the net. He'd hardly be the first finesse defenseman with that issue.

Also, he's a team leading +3 on a team that's like a -29 at Even Strength or something

I could be wrong but I feel like the lack of bottom-6 help is causing our top-6 to overplay their hand and try to force things a bit. The sickness running through the locker room doesnt help either!

The team was at its best when the bottom-6 was helping out; lets hope Fitzgerald can figure that out for us (and hopefully soon!)

Ha, well I don’t get to as many games as I used to now with a newborn at home. This will only be my second game of the season, and I’ll be there for the Lemaire ceremony for sure. I love that man.
