Hell Toupée!!!
I have more confidence in Petterson fixing NYR's problems then I do with them properly developing a top15 draft pick.
They haven't done the latter since Brain Leetch in 1986.
hugh jessiman baby!

Palat on pace for more goals and points than last year. Yeah he’s doing that while playing on the first line next to two superstars, but he’s not an anchor in that spot so I think for this season it works.
Seems our top priority needs to be 1-2 quality third liners who can push cotter down to the fourth line and give us some flexibility with injuries.
It's hard to say a team with so little playoff experience is going to be a favorite even adding some excellent depth pieces but I like the ideaDo anything to get Nelson+Palms from the Islanders. Don't see how we wouldn't be the favorites to win the cup acquiring a legit 2C to be our 3C, and a sniper to add into our top 6. Pushes players down, and we are deep 1-4.
I personally believe that playoff experience is a myth. Besides most of these guys just won a comeback series vs the Rangers a couple years ago. It's hard to say a team with so little playoff experience is going to be a favorite even adding some excellent depth pieces but I like the idea

His five 5v5 goals over the last 20 tie him with Bratt for 2nd on the Devils, trailing only Nico who has 7.Palat on pace for more goals and points than last year. A semantics issue maybe, but Timo Nico Noesen has been really good as a "2nd line".Palat since his daughter came home from the NICU has 10 pts in 16 games. Obviously who knows what is really going on, but these guys are human so you have to think it weighed on him a bit to start the year.
I still would look to dump the guy this summer, but I don't really have a problem with him the past few weeks.
I definitely think middle-6 forward is our biggest need as well.
my brother ended up with my records when my parents got rid of everything when they retired and moved. They took up two milk crates. It's funny how these things worked. I recall being absolutely ecstatic when CDs were introduced. No more scratching or noise. I still have all my CDs and whatever differences there are in the listening experience I've never really noticed but to be fair I've never done a test against a record and it's not like my teenage record player was audiophile level. We got my middle son a solid record player and he's slowly collecting vinyl. My wife has gone to a few garage sales to look at records for him. We had a near miss on a butcher cover and someone beat her to the Court of the Crimson King. We were able to land him a Can't Buy a Thrill the Buffalo Springfield album (that one must have been quite old) a couple of Motown albums (Marvin Gaye and a hits collection) and a few others. The only problem with the garage sale route is that in today's world folks want about $15-$20 per album and you roll the dice on the sound quality.
To me the biggest scam was the 8 track tape. I know they have their fans but we had three or four 8 track players over the years and none were able to play one track. There was always some background sound from another song playing. That soured me on them quickly.
Personally I hate collecting stuff and love that all my music can be put on my phone and played anywhere I want to play it without needing anything but my phone, car, headphones, speakers at home, speakers at a friend's. No wires, no extra stuff to store and can find any song you want in seconds. Absolutely blessed.
I have a love/hate with collecting stuff. I had over 2000 CDs (I was a music director for WSOU in the 90s which helped a lot, plus the 2nd saturday CD/Record show helped!). But they're all digitized to 320k mp3. I ran out of room for them -- when I moved to Raleigh after 2 years they ended up in big heavy boxes in a closet. Some guy was buying up CDs so I sold the collection for $1 apiece. He probably made out because I had some rare stuff but whatever. I hadn't bought a physical CD in a decade by then.
Same with books - I had over 1000 hardcover fiction books, most first edition, several signed. Some super rare. But again, I ran out of space and they were taking up a wall each in two rooms, so I started getting all of my books on Kindle. But I loved the old ones. My wife put her foot down and I sold them all for about $2 per book. Some were worth $300-500 but most were worthless.
I had all these old consoles - Wii, Wii U, Playstations, Dreamcast (hacked), Sega Master System, N64, etc. They were boxed in the attic. So I sold them to the book buyer, along with a handful of computer games in my closet.
I still have a lot of old stuff - I have almost all the computer parts I ever had from like 1988-on, old 3com ethernet cards, bizarre token ring cards, video cards, and tons of cables. Old floppy drives (both 5.25 and 3.5) and old motherboards, old SCSI adapters and tape drives. Every time I think I should get rid of them they prove useful when someone sends me old software on a tape that needs reading or old floppies they cannot read (and 5.25 floppies cannot be attached by USB, and 3.5 USB drives read unreliably). But eventually I want to get rid of all that crap.
I have a couple of guitars and a bass. Amps and mics. I used to do electronic music but I like guitar music so I'd sample some guitar in ... I'm not good. These guitars are nice and probably would go better with someone else.
This concept of Death Cleaning..... I get it. Some days I want literally nothing.
In terms of books I haven't gotten into reading on the Kindle cause I feel like I already look at screens too much and I hate paying for something I would only read once so I started using the library instead. Can basically request almost anything I want to read and it doesn't stay in the house for long. Highly recommend if you have one nearby.
Good point. I also miss the feel of books. I will say that I tend to read in bed and my wife gets up early so the Kindle being able to let me read w/o a light is a nice thing.
It won't be less light than a Kindle but I got one of these...
I see what you’re doing….I’m not saying they can’t win just that I’d have a tough time calling them favorites
What was that?I just explained my point in case my first post on it was off one way or the otherI see what you’re doing….
