He’s getting a 1st at his full cap hit. Let alone retaining half. He got a 1st when we moved him and he’s been better this year than he was then. The other former Devil would be the move.
Having a strong start to the season. Also 2.5 shots a game which is good for him

They need bodies who are just about there. A 2nd and a prospect. That first was way down there if I remember correctly and didn't we threw in zajac too?

I don't see how they'd fit in Bjorkstrand cap wise, Vatrano is a good option though.

I disagree about not adding a "bottom six forward". Our top 6 has been dominant but our bottom 6 has been a weakness. The depth scoring issue will self correct if the bottom 6 is improved.
I think the bottom six has been what they want it to be. You’re betting that Hischier and Hughes win their minutes and you just need the bottom six to be two lines that don’t hurt you. If Tampa sends out Kucherov’s line against Haula, you’re comfortable they can hold their own.

Come playoff time you add a forward or two to slide everyone down which helps boost the bottom six as a whole. Depending on the opposition maybe Hughes gets two heavy forwards and Meier drives play on the third line.

The Islanders are not selling, I think Lou holds onto to everyone. And he's gonna make us pay out of the ass for a rental within division. Tbf, he gave us a pretty good package in 2021. We just f***ing blew it on Chase Stillman.....
Well played!
My prospect back would have been Stillman!

TZ & KP for 29th OA (greer, jobst) ain't that great. Only a few players that wowed me behind CS were Morrow, Knies, Stankoven

This is horrible, this is the guy who would always whistle at people to cross and was super friendly to everyone if you were crossing at Broad Street.

Just awful, I have noticed numerous off duty cops who drive way too fast when leaving the games, people need to just slow down.

R.I.P.

I’d rather just use Lazar. Save the 2nd for a more impactful player or just draft someone.
Yeah, I don't necessarily want to give up assets unless it's for an impactful player. We're seeing how putrid Utica is and how empty the cupboard is. At some point we've got to get some prospects in the pipeline or we'll be stuck with guys like Bowers, Dowling, etc.

Those guys have outplayed my expectations. As 4th liners they’re perfectly fine guys to have in the lineup

He is not getting a 1st at a full 5 mill be real.

I think you're underselling the impact of Zajac a quality 3C in that trade. Also how the winger rental market has changed.

We'll have to see what the market is this year, but based on last years market he absolutely does not fetch a 1st, EVEN 50% retained.

In that deadline market here's who fetched a 2nd+

Copp x2 (turned into 1st)
Kulak
Palms (1st)
Rakell
Leddy
Lehkonen (+quality prospect)
Fleury (did not turn into 1st)
McBain
Lauzon
Giordano (x2)
Giroux (1st+high quality prospect)
Lindholm (1st+2nd+2nd)
Hagel (1st+1st+2 prospects)
Chiarot (1st)
Jarnkrok (2nd+3rd)
Manson
Lybushkin
Toffoli (1st+)

In last years market

Hertl+3rd+3rd (with about 9 mill in retention) 1st+prospect
Toffoli: 2nd+3rd
Guentzel: 2nd+prospects

Monahan: 1st
Henrique: 1st
Hanifin: 1st+3rd
Wennberg: 2nd
Walker+dump: 1st
Tanev: 2nd+3rd
Mantha: 2nd+4th
Lindholm: 1st+prospect+cap dump

The winger market was NOTHING last year. We'll see how it shakes out this year but it would be unfortunate if the market is that different that we have to pay significantly more for Palmeiri than we got for Toffoli
