That was a constant problem with him two years ago when he had like 4 goals 50 games into the season or something like that. If it was more than that at the 50 game mark it wasn't much more.

His entire regular season combined with the playoffs wound up being closer to his average goal scoring rate, but the first 50-something games were hard.

I still think this will be the case. It makes too much sense. Time in the AHL never hurt a kid playing his first pro season. No way do they send Nemec down, he gains nothing from AHL time.

Oh it’s definitely true. Referees don’t like to call an uneven amount of penalties. The more penalties in your teams favor then the more likely the next call will be on you and not them.

Nah, we have had games over the years where this team got called for penalties multiple times in a row and opposition got 0. Same with the "game management" nonsense. Plenty of games where it just doesn't apply to this team

I can't agree. Overall its okay for young defensemen to make bad decisions in D zone. That's what experience is helping for.
