I feel the Problem with the Canucks is that after they got Pettersson they decided "lets get more guys like him" He's a great player but you need to suround him with more physically strong north south power winger types. It feels like they are just filled with soft perimeter skill guys.

What they need is more guys like Bo Horvat. He's Canucks fan's whipping boy but he's the only one you can at least see putting effort in all facets of his game.

That's definitely their main issue. It's awful. Quinn's the only one capable of moving a puck and their guys aren't good defensively either. Up front they aren't incredible either though

They're in rough shape thanks to Benning's tenure.

They still have some stupid contracts, like Tyler Myers, but the new regime already stapled themselves to JT Miller for 8 more years after talking about trading him for almost an entire year.
