I say you keep your avatar @Bleedred because there's nothing you can do to keep Rawly from taking this series tonight. It doesn't matter if Hot Rod throws Auntie Rhonda or Pete Kochetkov out there, the NJD are finished tonight. Too many no-show ghosts in that NJD locker room to stave off elimination. Starting with Timo Meier, who just picked up too many bad habits from playing in SJ with No-Show Joe and Patty Not Elias Marleau. Both career losers that constantly no-showed in the playoffs. Which is why SJS never won anything.

The Captain has been another no-show, while stud Martin Necas has scored 3 very huge goals for Rawly in this series. If Ray were really a smart GM and hockey person, he would have tried to move up in the 2nd round to draft Aho that year and not trade one of his second rounder's for K Palms, who is now long gone. I'd have to think Conte got into his ear with that one.

And Jordan Martinook is a very nice player. Taken two spots ahead of Sevs, who is about to walk in just a few weeks. I always said Zona were wrong to give up on him so early. Conte's destruction is still killing us this many years later.

All I remember hearing from this forum was how bad a GM Don Waddell was in Lanta, but the truth is that he has been abusing the NJD for years now, starting with the Kovy trade that ended the glory years for the franchise, He completely fleeced Lou in that deal and it only helped destroy our team. Not only does he refuse to lose to the NJD, he refuses to lose trades to the NJD.

It's a labor of love all the stuff I skim and clean, but it does extend the season out, especially when we get warm spells like the next couple days.
