Arpon Basu thinks Logan Mailloux has done a pretty good job being in the top 4 these past few games. Someone take away his crack cocaine, I'm worried about Arpon's mind deteriorating with comments like this.
I mean offensively he isn’t worst than Struble and his d zone work can improve. Still young only 21. I think he add more to the team than Jayden I can live with his less than stellar d game right now, we are still more about player development than competing this season.

I think that's fair. If Laine panes out and ends up on the 3rd line for a WC push next year that would be great. One thing is for sure, Laine is no Monahan.

I agree. I think Laine was brought in to be a stop gap for the second line until more moves could be made.

I dont think he was ever option A, B, or even C for Hughes last summer. Things just didn't pan out and he was the only option left.

I don't know why St Louis isn't playing him with Arber; they were great paired together in laval

My point was if they quit so easily because one guy went down it doesn't bode well when the games actually matter.
They aren't quitting. Heineman going down leaves Evans with no one on his line. So 2 lines are useless and the 2nd line isn't doing enough.. Just cover the 1st line and the game is over.

He's not. But Suzuki and Caufield help each other out. Caufield wouldn't be as successful if he were playing with Evan's and Armia.

Caufield had a shit ton of goals away from Suzuki in his first two seasons. He had almost half a dozen playing limited time with mike f***ing hoffman ffs

Here's a list of those who assisted on his 58 goals in his first two seasons under MSL:

Suzuki 22
Unassisted 7
Dach 7
Wideman 6
Petry 5
Hoffman 5
Drouin 4
Ghule 4
Harris 4
Matheson 3
Savard 3
Monahan 3
Anderson 3
Edmundson 3
Pitlick 2
Armia 2
Gallagher 2
Dvorak 2
Toffoli 1
Poehling 1
Kovacevic 1
Evans 1
Perry 1
Staal 1
