Palat has been ass for years. It wasn't just a tough period in life.

He's been a 3rd line caliber player here. He was straight up not an NHL player this season until a few weeks ago. It was a HUGE falloff

Before the Nashville game he had a 51% xG with Jack while even in goals. Away from Jack 32% and outscored 7 to 2.

Since then 62.5% and up 10-3 in goals. He's still been absolutely brutal away from Jack but it's also only 12 minutes so it's hard to put much stock into it.

He is still dragging down Jack a bit as Jack away from Palat in 43 minutes since the Nashville game Jack's up to 73%. It's not like he's dragging him down to just being 50/50 anymore though. If this is the level of play you get from this line going forward then Palat's "fine" for the time being as the compliment to Jack-Bratt

College was all Keystone Light which was a shame. Only a couple hours from Rochester, I could have been drinking genny creams instead. Guess the buck difference was meaningful shrug.

My brother went to school in Rochester and he said their go to was Labatt Blue. I guess the proximity to Canada brought the distribution price down.

Far better than our Keystone Light swill in Ithaca. Maybe the buckets of Rolling Rocks at Ruloff’s trivia night were passable.

I thought Rolling Rock was awful but to each their own. It was something of a premium offering once they came up with that "Bucket of Rocks" promotion.

Do you remember Maximus Super? Another West End Brewing Co. product (Utica Club). It was higher in alcohol content. It was murder on the digestive system. the results the next day were known locally as "Max Splats!"

Jenny Cream Ale and Ballantine Ale were also popular.

We had a college town bar that was always packed because they sold 22 oz. bottle of Schaefer's for the same price as the other non-premium bottled beers. One of the week nights it was $1 a bottle. Girls hung from the rafters because that's where the boys were.

Inexpensive beer definitely was big part of my younger days, 18- 25.

This was a fun watch. Blues feed whining about Siegenthaler through all the 3rd period shenanigans. Kind of a shame that’s the final meeting of the season. Some real bad blood out there. Felt like the start of a rivalry.

Like how Siegenthaler’s “really dangerous hit/clear hit from behind” becomes a “more of a trip and a shove” after the replay when it’s none of those things.

As the kids say, cry more. (“Not sure what the referees were not seeing” lol)

I remember being very young and seeing Genesee signs all over Pennsylvania and New York.

My grandparents(fathers side)lived in north central Pennsylvania probably about 45 minutes from the New York border and those Genesee signs were everywhere. Gas stations, convenient stores, sides of barns everywhere.

I remember being 5/6 years old asking my dad what it was...I didn't even know it was beer...

Then I was 18 fishing in upstate NY and a place in Hancock NY had it on the shelf...I grabbed a 6 pack went to pay for it and the lady behind the counter goes are you 21? I said no I'm 18 but I always wanted to try this. She said ok....and a pack of Marlboros of course.
