I watched the whole game, and I didn't see anything that Vanacek wouldn't have given up a rebound on as well. Try to understand how the game is actually played. You don't have much of a chance to control anything with big-time opportunities in close.

It's hard to say what goals he would or wouldn't have given up tonight.

Who knows? He could have come out and gave up 7 goals tonight if he played, but he makes more saves than Blackwood, he gets more wins than Blackwood, he's been the better goalie since both have been in the NHL at the same time.

That doesn't mean there can't be a game where he plays better though.

Goalies can make tough saves. Vanecek seems capable of doing it in front of this struggling defence right now. Blackwood shouldn't be held to another standard.

He made the save chief, they scored on the rebound. You cannot control a rebound on a shot for feet out of it his you in the pads.

You didn’t watch carefully enough. Literally even Wischusen pointed it out in the first period when he gave them 3+ extra chances by not being able to grab soft shots from the outside.

They have been playing badly though winning over the last month. The coach is a moron that refuses to accept his favorite line, the 4 line is a league worst line and miles wood is the equivalent of a ruptured cyst on the center of someone’s asshole.

Siegenthaler went from one of the best dmen in the game to a pumpkin, and Blackwood is still a Devil though he sucks.

Not to mention the rangers have gotten better as the season has gone on, are 5 points away from us and are on a heater at the moment.

Yes tere has been some terrible bounds this game by MB . But the last goal was not one. Guy walks in and lasers one from 4 feet out far side . That’s not a bad rebound. Several other times yes. I’m not saying Blackwood played well. We had some very ugly plays tonight . It happens but it is a tad concerning that we haven’t looked that shit hot for awhile now.

Really? I saw a nice backhand pass by Severson after an awful pinch and a whole lot of great chances but then and not alot of good chances by us.
