I'm pretty sure it just looks worse tonight because the decrepit #29 is in goal and this is what he does.

This is the natural progression of a BAD goaltender.

He's not bad EVERY game, nobody is. Just like no goalie is GOOD every game. Look at the lousy softy Vitek allowed last game, which was softer than most of the Blackwood goals against this year, other than maybe that gift against Carolina.

People are freaking out about how Hughes is the Devils tonight, but Vanecek has been our second best player since the turn of the calendar year and we're also missing him tonight.

I'm pretty sure that leaving Kyrou alone in front, with a guy wide open at the other circle and then two defensemen screening you're goaltender might result in a goal.

Third goal was very stoppable.

He's not as good of a goalie as Vitek and he hasn't been for years now. Actually not since Vitek was still in the AHL.

The results are very different this year for both goalies, in both wins and goals against.

Maybe he's just not as good as Vanecek?

You Blackwood fans will sometimes admit that, but always wanna give him excuses.

He gets scored on more than Vanecek because he isn't as good of a goalie as Vanecek is.......
