GDT: Devils @ Blue Jackets 7:00 PM EST (

Should the Devils re-sign Tatar as a 4th liner?
Some guy on twitter did a decent thread on why they should bring him back as a bottom 6 guy. Stuff like points compared to icetime and quality of linemates. I will say I think he has kind of realized he's not the offensive 2nd line winger he used to be and has tried to adapt his game. He's a lot better on puck battles and general effort then he used to be. That said I'm not sure he provides that much. I would take him on 1 million 1 year deal to fill a 4th wing line spot if it means investing other spots

Keefe was doing some strange shit that 3rd period. For the half we kept getting 4th line alternated in, not a lot of Bratt or glass.

Almost like he was testing them. Didn't seem to work.

Palat Haula line had a hell of a go for the spurts we had time in the zone

Missed the game tonight.

Saw the W, good.

Saw the shots, not good.

How did the team look?

That 25.58% xGF% tells me we looked like garbage.
Look at period 1 and 2 in those stats

Then look at period 3. Tale of two games. I am not excusing NJ because they needed to push more . But, Lumbus was on their last leg, didn’t score in 8 periods, with the playoffs on the line. Thats pretty much what I expected out of Lumbus in that period.

Does Jake Allen have the highest xGA? Or is it xSA? or wtv the f***ing stats is
I was looking through moneypuck today for some other goalie (I can't remember who) but I saw Allen was like 5th (I think?) in their goalie rankings. I think that's based on GSAx and not necessarily GSAx per 60. But he's still pretty high in that regard if I had to guess.

Hughes out
Hamilton out
Siegs out
Goalie plays amazing
On the road
Win and secure 2 points
WE SUCK !!!! Lol
The hot takes here were special 😎
Yes. The honest truth is that we’re not the most talented team in the league. So wins will not always come easy for us during this grueling season. That’s where heart and effort come into play and ugly or pretty they just have to work harder for the wins.

The problem is the Columbus shortened their lines and we kept running out guys who should have not been out there which caused chaos and the momentum shifted wildly the other direction
That was a losing in a game 7 type effort out of them in the 3rd. Credit to them. Devils needed to control more but as you said, Lumbus threw everything AND the kitchen sink at them

Fair enough, looked quickly and went to look after, was much more even in the 1st and 2nd periods.
